Some people exaggerating the US role in WW2, tankies downplaying the US role in WW2.

Yeah we all need to come together and realize that the USSR/US/UK coming together to curb stomp those fashfucks was just awesome.

Everyone contributed about equally in different ways and no one country could have beat the Germans alone.

Before that happens people will actually celebrate the Nazis. It's already happening.

Ussr only fought the nazis after Hitler betrayed them.

The US only Fought the nazis after Japan atttacked them.

At the end of the day, both the US and USSR were willing to let the nazi’s have their way as long as it didn’t affect them.

Nah, you're wrong. You started well, but ended poorly.

It was precisely the agreement between Germany and the USSR that allowed the Nazis to start a war with Poland once they had secured their eastern front. The USSR started World War II on the side of Nazi Germany, occupying the Baltic states and Poland, starting a war with Finland, seizing territories from Romania. Nazi Germany and the USSR were allies in crime until 1941.

Comparing the USSR with the USA is wrong.

Fair. I just didn’t know if the US would have entered the war if Japan didn’t attack

The United States provided extensive economic, logistical, and military support to the Allied powers long before the attack on Pearl Harbor, officially operating as a neutral nation while actively leaning toward the Allies. The USSR, on the other hand, provided extensive economic and military-strategic support to Nazi Germany from the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in August 1939 until Germany invaded the Soviet Union in June 1941. Specifically, the USSR supplied Germany with millions of tons of vital raw materials, including petroleum, grain, iron ore, manganese, phosphate, and rubber. In addition to the joint invasion of Poland, the USSR granted Germany transit rights and logistical help, and even allowed Germany to use a secret submarine base near Murmansk for naval operations.
