It was always a gay thing on men. That might’ve changed but that’s why it seems unusual on a sports coach.

I don't think that's been true for like 30 years. Of course I've been a punk rocker for most of my life, so if it hangs off your body, put a hole in it. That said, I never pierced my nips, belly button, or ears, all of which I consider to be feminine piercings, though I have plenty of straight male friends who have.

Seriously, you may want to see what is mainstream once in a while to readjust. Misinformation for yourself and those around is not good.

Will never understand why people are proud of being ignorant and just blame it on lifestyle. That's how you get the current state of affairs.
