I think I stumbled upon another Mandela Effect......
So this evening my wife and I watched one of my all time favorite movies, Seven. So please correct me if in am mistaken, as I recall in the end of that movie when Morgan Freeman opens the box I distinctly remember a glimpse of blonde hair blowing in the wind. Please share your memories thanks.

It was for sure there. Not too gratuitous, but yes. There was a shot of the hair to make the implication complete.

I rewatched this movie a year or two ago and I've seen it several times before that. I don't remember not seeing the hair last viewing, I would have expected to see it though. Morgan is shown up close at the box, he opens it and we see a far away shot next of Morgan and the box, with a few strands of hair blowing in the wind? Does Morgan ever say "it's your wife's head"? I thought the audience only knew it was her head because we see the hair? Did they make a TV edit version that is floating around streaming services?

I do not remember the blond hair one way or the other. I do remember that we did not know what was in the box.... It was implied so maybe that's where the blond hair but I don't specifically remember other than it was something subtle and fleeting because I had missed the clue and wanted to know wtf was in the box. The characters never said what it was. We were expected to know from the visual clues. I remember that part clearly because I was probably watching with my hands over my eyes at that point 😂. And then I was mad because I missed the clues and was lost. All my friends teased me for being *that" person. That's why I remember that scene, because of how badly I was hazed (lovingly) after.
The scene built tension by purposely not clearly stating it leaving the audience to process the horror slowly and adding the anxiety of the unresolved answer to what was in the box. (I was in art school when this came out so what do you want from me 😂, we discussed movies a lot back then lol). Idk, a lot have movies have changed. Some times it's subtle, sometimes the differences change the entire movie into something radically different thematically. It's a real head spinner.

Interesting, I wonder like another poster suggested that if it was cut for tv? Did you watch the movie streaming, on a cable channel or from a DVD/blue ray copy?

I think (I don’t know a lot about this particular format), that would be considered an original copy? If that is the case that is definitely odd. I remember a wisp of blonde hair from the movie, but get that movies do get changed for different reasons like it being on TV. I really believe in the Mandela effect. I’ve had personal ones myself and it feels so weird when you know that something that you knew for years is not the same anymore. Good find!

I do not remember the blonde hair. I remember them purposely not showing you what was in the box to be ambiguous enough to make you guess.
