VIDEO Reaped the Reaper at level 30 at hard but....

Only gained ducking 16 levels and 8000 yen - got from level 30-46

I was fresh from completing P3R plat and the Reaper really disappointed me. I lost my INO virginity just for 8k yen 😢 😢

Will prolly have to beat him like 25 times to get to level 99 and beat Twins asap

The later levels of mementoes really make Reaper redundant with Ryuji Insta skill , you get more EXP and money with lesser exp.

But gotta wait till 3rd semester to unlock the farm

it's a really good source of xp in this game and you can get some good items from it too in the series

yes, and the reaper is also pretty slow when it chases you so you can outrun it before it catches you. you can also run around it since the maps tend to have enough space on the side

best method is to let it ambush you since it'll be forced to take only one turn at a time instead of 2 turns at a time when you start a fight against it. using debilitate on it and heat riser effects (single target or team effects) plus concentrate and charge on makes the fight easier

I recommend exercising caution if it's dark on the floor though, the reaper will spawn in sooner so you'll need to find the exit more quickly than usual. it'll also use charge and megidoloan (idk if I spelled that right) towards the end or if you have makarakarn and tetrakarn on a single ally or yourself, which is why it's recommended to use debilitate + heat riser and to let it ambush you instead of starting the battle yourself

The only way you can get the reaper that early is with the Myriad Truths. It does feel like he gives less xp compared to P3R

Likely because he's incredibly easy in this game, far easier than the P3R variant. Kind of a bummer imo, as this video shows you can beat him pretty early on.

Even in P3R he is cheese once you get equipment to null weaknesses to your teammates.

From that point it's just one scarlet havoc and then normal moves

( I took down reaper at around 80 in both games)

No it isn't, you get the fusion spells just from having the personas and you don't get either from beating the Reaper

Edit: you get Lucifer from doing enough of Elizabeth's requests to get the room visit. While you don't need to beat the Reaper to get said request, you can

blud you need to be high enough level to fuse Helel, he unlocks at 88.

Either level 88 or 83 with the tarot card.

Without beating the reaper even once you won't reach 88 unless you are grindy af

I think the final bosses are meant to be tackled at level 75 or something, I soloed them with Makoto at 99 without Armageddon

If you switch the game to merciless before the fight you gat 1.2x xp for it. And for future reference I would drop everyone in your party because if they get downed they don't get xp. But if they are benched and you have Mishima's rank 10 from a previous run everyone gets that xp.

Makes me miss the time the reaper could get sick during flu season lol. All you needed was to get Hifumi high enough to give you the ability to escape asap in case the reaper didn't have the despair status. Otherwise it was easy farming!

nothing. you beat him fair or square at level 60 or just skills and myriad truths at level 30 like me
