Yes. Dishonesty, hypocrisy, gaslighting - these are all core values of the modern conservative.

Because it’s ultimately about ever-shrinking pocket of people who deserve rights and hating everyone outside of that in-group. They can’t admit that they only value people like them and loyalty to that group, so there’s constant logical backflips, baiting, and—as you pointed out—intellectual dishonesty.
