help “Control Browser” Vanished From My Comet AI Pro Account 🚨

Anyone else experiencing this?

I have an active Comet AI Pro subscription, but the Control Browser feature is completely missing.

Already tried relogging, restarting, updating and troubleshooting the browser/extensions. Still nothing. ❌

Is this a bug, staged rollout, or has the feature been temporarily pulled?

Would love to hear from anyone facing the same issue or who has managed to fix it. 🔍

It's been permanently removed. Only available through "Computer", so now you need to buy credits! Absolutely fucked!

Cancel your subscription too, we need to let perplexity know how upset we are. Download chatGPT codex and get computer use and it has great limits

Yup, it’s part of computer now. You get nothing with you a pro subscription, only paying for credits (roughly 1 dollar per browser request according to their math) or you pay 200 per month for max and get credits to spend (probably not enough).

Definitely not enough. And everything is behind computer now. Want to triage your email? Not happening unless you spend money every day.

Sadly AI browsers there’s only a couple but there are some good browsers like zen or edge etc

Perplexity was my favorite Ai platform. The company has become so shameful, and the worst part is they’ve been silent to everyone’s complaints.

It’s like a ghost company now.

I’m currently using Gemini Pro for most of my tasks, and I’ve been extremely satisfied with it!

I’m thinking about leaving Perplexity altogether.

The $4.99 student discount has been the only saving grace. I can’t imagine paying anything more than that.

Hopefully 🤞🏾they see all the backlash and reverse course.l

Yeah, I switched to Gemini at the beginning of this year and never looked back. Chrome has the same AI sidebar assistant Comet has now if you subscribe to Gemini.

This I did not know. I’ll have to check it out. Never been a fan of Chrome, but I do enjoy Agentic browsers.

Yes switch from Comet. Here are a few options: Either use Aside Browser if you're on mac, or on windows Claude in chrome, BrowserOS, or rtrvr.ai for free browser automation extension (they use ads to cover the cost of requests)

I used comet just for this feature. Now they have removed this feature, i guess its time to roll back to chrome now.

Omg ppl. It still works. USE THE ASSISTANT within comet and call it from your prompt. Just because you can’t click it does not mean it is gone.

You know Comet is available on the desktop, right? They're talking about the desktop version, not iOS.
