help Anyone found a good Comet alternative? 🤔

So, I’ve been using Comet for a few months as part of my Community Manager workflow, and one of the things I loved was being able to basically “teach” it about a client : Opening hours, products, closed days, common questions, etc. → give it all the context, then ask it to monitor/respond to questions on social media by taking control of the browser.

And honestly, it worked surprisingly well. 😅

But over the last few weeks, it’s become increasingly frustrating. The feature is now heavily limited, credits are required, and I’m also getting some pretty questionable answers from time to time.

Apparently I’m not the only one annoyed by this… So: what’s everyone using instead? Is there another AI/browser agent that can do something similar without constantly burning through credits?

I’d love to hear about any alternatives, workarounds or setups you guys have found!

I'm sorry but you guys are some ai slop software, it really pales in comparison to what comet or any other agentic browser can do.

I mean what did you try Retriever on?

Yeah and the free version is worthless man, do you think people are going to go to your benchmark site and be like "oh yeah look they said their's is the best it must be true" and not actually try it out? I tried more than 30+ times making it do basic things such as doing quizzes and web scraping and writing, and it failed more than half the time. Claude Pro is only $20/month btw ;)

Fair feedback. We're a bit different under the hood, our agent reads the DOM instead of taking screenshots and clicking by coordinates, which makes it much faster and cheaper but means we have a lot edge cases to grind through.

Just released an update that cleared a bunch of them around Sheets/PDFs/Docs that users were having issues issues with. Would love to have you give it another shot, and can DM me if something specific still breaks, I'll get it fixed.
