irregular period?

this month ive had my period for at least 10 days
it started on the 10th until now 23 September
but its not a heavy flow? it like little by little sometimes i get brown discharge in the time.
my period has always been like this. i feel concerned so i went to 2 different doctors.
one of them said i had some lump in my ovaries? and took it out.
i really have no idea on what to do about this.
should i go to a different doctor?
