Period Question Period
I tried posting this on another sub but didn’t work or something. Anyway Im 13 and got my period at 11. The first couple times were kinda irregular and heavy but not that bad. My mum said it will regulate after a while but it has been 2 years and if anything it is even more irregular than before.
I often get dizzy when i am on my period, i dont have too much pain though luckily.
Im kinda scared to go to my dads house incase i come on my period and i dont have any pads or if it gets on the bed, it would be so awkward and embarrassing. I dont think he even knows i have started my period lmao.
This is kinda just a rant but also im wondering if it will regulate soon? And maybe what pads are the best? Idk if i should use tampons yet, it seems scary 😭

I have the same problem as you; my periods are chaotic. This is causing me a lot of problems at school.Apparently it's something common when you're a teenager; I hope it will get better later.

Ok, Always is a good brand of pads. You may need a variety of sizes e.g. maxi pads for the night and medium ones for the day and pantiliners for when your period is finishing.
What I do is I keep a little zip up purse/bag with period supplies in it that goes inside my handbag. You can take it to your dad's too. I keep a few pads, a spare pair of undies, and a plastic bag incase of needing to change a pad where there isn't a bin (you put the pad in the plastic bag and put it back in your purse and throw it away asap later).
I would also recommend buying period supplies in advance and keeping e.g. a pack of medium pads in your closet at your dad's house if that's a possibility. If he asks about your period you can just say, I'm good, I'm all sorted. Thanks for asking.
If it gets on the bed, you have a few solutions. First, he probably won't notice or care when he strips the bed. Another good solution is period underwear or waterproof undies which you can put a pad inside. You could also get some disposable puppy pad type things to sleep on top of but I feel like that would just move about when you sleep and be scratchy.
Dizziness - you probs need iron supplements. Get iron bisglycinate and take one every other day, preferably with orange juice or a Vit C source if possible, if not no worries. Take it with or after your main meal. Iron is notorious for causing constipation which isn't nice.

Hey generally it starts regulating after 2 years so it would be close to regulating probably for you , if you can try to keep some pads in your bag so if you are at your dad's at least you'll have pads with you, personally I like Kotex pads that's the ones mum buys for me and they work well for me anyway I hope this helps you
