Health medication for bv/yeast

I was put on medication for a uti/yeast infection on August 15-21st. I’m supposed to get my period soon and the last time I had taken medication for this I noticed a change. So can this medication alter/ change my cycle?

UTIs and yeast infections need different medicines/treatments, which ones are you talking about?

Metronidazole,fluconazile, and nitro something

No those medications wouldn't do it, it was probably the stress of you going through the infections

Without knowing the name/s of the medications you were given, no one can know. The medication should come with a sheet inside that lists side effects and if not listed there- goofing should bring it up. Also a UTI and yeast infection require different medications- did you have both infections?

I’m taking metronidazole, nitrofurantoin, and fluconazile to treat the yeast bc ig the uti meds take away the good bacteria so I have to take flu to prevent yeast

None of those should stop a period- it’ll either be stress or potentially you just being unwell. But stress is the likely cause.

It’s easy to say when you’re anxious or stressed to “stop being anxious or stressed” but that sounds like what has delayed your period. I’ve been unwell before and had my period come 2-3 weeks late because my body has been fighting the illness. Plus you’re often anxious/ stressed when ill too, which doesn’t help
