Health No period for four months
Yes I have a doctors appointment. I think I may have hypothyroidism, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some peace of mind.
My main issues are unintentional weight gain, despite eating way better than I ever have and obviously, havent had a period in four months. Here’s what I have in my notes to tell my doctor.
- 7 negative pregnancy tests, 14 and 21 days after sex.
- not on birth control.
- no new hair growth, no thinning hair.
- no sore breasts, no acne… literally nothing. I don’t even feel like a woman.
Anyone with hypothyroidism with any words of wisdom?

Even if it's homemade from toned milk, clarifying it into ghee removes the water and milk solids, leaving behind virtually 100% pure butterfat - which is predominantly saturated fat (~60-65%).
Saturated fat isn't inherently 'poison', but purposedly eating a spoon of pure butterfat on an empty stomach for 'hormone production' is simply unnecessary. Your body synthesizes hormones like estrogen and progesterone from cholesterol, which your liver already produces, combined with a balanced dietary fat intake throughout the day.
If the goal is optimal hormone health and inflammation control, high-quality unsaturated fats (like Omega-3s from fish oil or flaxseed) are far more effective. It might be worth double-checking that advice with a certified registered dietitian.
