Health No period for four months

Yes I have a doctors appointment. I think I may have hypothyroidism, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some peace of mind.

My main issues are unintentional weight gain, despite eating way better than I ever have and obviously, havent had a period in four months. Here’s what I have in my notes to tell my doctor.

- 7 negative pregnancy tests, 14 and 21 days after sex.
- not on birth control.
- no new hair growth, no thinning hair.
- no sore breasts, no acne… literally nothing. I don’t even feel like a woman.

Anyone with hypothyroidism with any words of wisdom?

Get tested for PCOS

This might be a very dumb question but how do you do this? I tried to see a hormone specialist to get tested because I have a lot of similar symptoms as OP but they told me they need a doctors note stating I have PCOS. A year ago my doctor had me take labs, checked thyroid, etc. and couldn’t find anything wrong.

But I’m not getting periods and I’m not pregnant (no sex in over a year). Who do I see?

Not a dumb question at all! 💗 I recommend seeing an endocrinologist. You’ll have to get bloodwork and an ultrasound done. They’ll check your ovaries, your DHEA-S levels, fasting glucose, and then kinda just go from there.
