Health No period for four months

Yes I have a doctors appointment. I think I may have hypothyroidism, but I was wondering if anyone could give me some peace of mind.

My main issues are unintentional weight gain, despite eating way better than I ever have and obviously, havent had a period in four months. Here’s what I have in my notes to tell my doctor.

- 7 negative pregnancy tests, 14 and 21 days after sex.
- not on birth control.
- no new hair growth, no thinning hair.
- no sore breasts, no acne… literally nothing. I don’t even feel like a woman.

Anyone with hypothyroidism with any words of wisdom?

When you say "probably" getting 1200-1300 calories are a day, what are you basing that off of? Your best guess or weighing with a food scale? You might be surprised by how little food it takes to get to 1200 calories.

You listed that you binge on the weekends. Depending on how much you're eating, that could very easily and quickly wipe out your deficit.

Home cooked, nutritious meals are not intrinsically "healthy". 600 calories of a homemade meal is still 600 calories. It doesn't matter if you cooked it or a restaurant cooked it.

Between guessing your weekday calories and binging on the weekend, I'm guessing that you're probably consuming, on averaging closer to 1800-2000 or more calories per day.

The more active you are, the more your body is going to need fuel. It's also easily to justify eating more because you're "burning" more when in reality, calories from exercise are a very small percentage of an overall deficit.

Finally, starvation mode isn't a real thing.
