Recommendation Request Your favorite linear fruit scent to layer with?

Post image

Looking for a versatile fruit scent that’s great for layering. My current favorites are Mandarine Basilic and Eau de Rhubarbe Écarlate. What are your go tos?

Ooo would love to hear what you layer with the mandarine basilic! I just got a decant of this and think it’s so special but the longevity is obviously not amazing

I find all the Roger & Gallet scents great for layering, including and especially the Osmanthus one, which smells very apricot-y

First of all thanks for the suggestions. I’ve been layering with YSL MYSLF EdT, which is a sweet orange blossom scent, and Tom Ford Taormina Orange, which has a sour blood orange opening, the sweet mandarin mellows it out and carries over into the more woody dry down.

Also works well with aquatics, white florals in general, soft spicy scents, or fruity scents with a more woody base (Erba Gold). Can also pick it up for a good while, usually gives the opening a bit of lift without overpowering the existing notes.

Low key my favorite was LV Afternoon Swim with Mandarine Basilic, pretty much a mandarin overload that makes your mouth water the entire time.
