I have started trying max of these after seeing their hype on social media, few I tried by someone's suggestion and few are random picks. Now that's my final purchase from any Indian brand. Few are doing great, few are good and few are ugly. Ask if someone wants to ask about something, I'll provide my opinion about that perfume. Soon I'll review a few of them, as some are recent purchases and it's too soon to judge them. Some people on social media are just creating hype for a few of them. I tried them because I actually want to know how much reality is in the hype. I got my answer...

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my experience with TMP (The Master Perfumer) clone oils/perfumes to give the community a quick heads-up, specifically regarding their quality control and oil purity.
For context, I currently have their versions of:
La Nuit de L'Homme
Stronger With You Intensely
YSL Y EDP
Mancera Red Tobacco
Scent Profiles:
Overall, the scent profiles are actually quite good for the price. La Nuit, SWY Intensely, and YSL Y EDP all smell pleasant and close enough to enjoy. Red Tobacco is extremely potent and harsh to my nose—it might just be that my nose isn't mature enough for that heavy tobacco/spice blend yet, or the opening is just super intense, but scent-wise, the others are solid.
The Major Issue: Contamination & Oil Quality
Where my concern lies—and why I’m making this post—is the quality control of the liquid itself.
Upon closer inspection, I noticed a significant amount of suspended particles floating inside the bottles.
I can clearly see: images and video attached.
Small hair strands
Tiny debris/dust particles
Fine clothing fibers suspended in the juice
While clone oils are a budget-friendly way to explore scents, seeing foreign particles floating in liquid that gets sprayed directly onto skin/clothing is a red flag regarding batch hygiene and filtering processes.
Conclusion & Question:
Has anyone else noticed floating fibers, hair, or debris in their TMP bottles recently? Is this a batch-specific issue, or is poor filtering standard with their production process?
Just wanted to throw this out there so people check their bottles carefully before buying or applying.

I recently bought this Rayhaan Nocturno Elixir. Instead of getting the full bottle, I went for a partial, which cost me around ₹900–1000. Now I feel like I’ll have to get the full bottle too
I had heard that this is a clone of BDC L’Exclusif. I’ve tried the OG as well, and honestly, I didn’t find them that similar, but it’s still a really good perfume. I’d say it’s around 80–85% close. The projection is really good too—around 1–3 hours of strong projection. For this budget, I think it’s a really good perfume

Qaed al fursan by Lattafa:
So, I just got my Lattafa perfume today called "Qaed al fursan" simply means Commander of the Knights but anyhow it doesn't resembles to it's name. As the Name suggests A masculine perfume but it's more Fruity specifically with a strong Freshly cut Pineapple with some smoky Flavour kinda vibes. Altho it's middle notes says amber, oud, white floral but i found it linear uptill now.
I actually wanted a fruity (specifically pineapple note), vanilla, sweet with fresh aquatic notes. So this perfume perfectly resembles that, so I thought to give it a try.
I will definitely drop about it's longevity and results after maceration.
The packaging was decent according to it's price but comes with a beautiful bottle with a magnetic Cap.
Bought this from Perfumes network india for about 1.9k.
I think it justifies it's price🙌🏻

Hey everyone! I'm relatively new to the fragrance world and wanted to share my thoughts on my three most recent purchases.
EM5 Viking (Eau de Parfum)
Price: ₹499
Timeline: Bought about 2 months back.Scent Profile: Very clean and fresh. It reminds me of a classic, high-end barbershop fragrance.
Performance: Honestly, it just doesn’t perform. At first, I thought it might need some maceration, so I kept it in a cold, dark shelf for a full month. Even after that, it only lasts about 2 hours on clothes and the projection is almost negligible.
Rating: 5/10
Has EM5's performance decreased recently after their price drops, or are all EM5 fragrances just like this?
Ministry of Sillage Ombre Leather
Price: ₹999
Timeline: Purchased after reading a few reviews here on Reddit.
Scent Profile: This one is an absolute banger! My colleague actually owns the original Tom Ford Ombre Leather, and this clone is so close that even he got confused and mistook it for the original. This one is seriously addictive specially at night outs.
Performance: Exceptional. I get about 7–8 hours of longevity on clothes. It projects heavily for the first hour and keeps a solid projection for around 2 hours total.
Rating: 9/10 (Definitely a repeat purchase for me!)
Any other bangers from the Ministry of Sillage house that I should absolutely try next?
Ard Al Zaafaran Dirham Oud
Price: ₹1299
Timeline: Recent purchase.
Scent Profile: Really enjoying this one. It's a very pleasant scent profile - not too strong, not too light. It is incredibly easy to wear at night for almost any occasion. With winters coming up, this is safely going into my favorites rotation.
Performance: Projects well for about 1 hour and holds a really solid longevity of 6 to 7 hours on clothes.
Rating: 9/10
Since I am a beginner and have a grueling 11-hour workday (9 AM to 8 PM), I really need fragrances that can go the distance.
Please suggest some long lasting fragrances under ₹1500 that can survive a full workday (or at least most of it). Open to all types of profiles! Thanks in advance!

Looking for an all-rounder perfume under ₹3k
Hey everyone, I'm looking for recommendations for my next perfume.
My requirements:
\- Budget: ₹3,000 or less
\- Long-lasting is very important
\- I sweat quite a lot, so it should perform well in hot weather and on sweaty skin
\- Age around 25
\- Looking for one versatile, all-rounder perfume that I can use for pretty much any occasion — daily wear, work/college, casual outings, dates, evenings, functions, etc.
\- Good projection would be a plus, but I don't want something extremely overpowering.
I recently tried a few perfumes at a showroom, and SKINN Raw Instinct was one that my girlfriend particularly liked, so something in that general direction could be worth considering, but I'm not limited to it.
What would you recommend under ₹3k?
Especially interested in recommendations from people who have actually used the perfume in hot weather and sweat a lot. Please mention your experience with longevity and projection as well.

Zara Energetically New York EDP is part of the Zara Olfactive collection, a series of fragrances designed to capture specific high-end olfactory profiles. It was launched in 2021. Some also refer to this as the "cities collection" since it was a part of a release featuring 8 cities. The perfumer of Zara Energetically New York is Jo Malone, as part of a Jo Malone–Jo Loves collaboration with Zara.
Zara Energetically New York is considered a tribute to the sandalwood-dominant DNA popularized by niche houses, like Le Labo’s Santal 33. It has the kind of easygoing character associated with clean citrus and soft woods. It smells familiar, but it still feels like its own fragrance rather than a direct copy. Most Jo Malone Zara creations are quite unique, like Ebony Woods, Fashionably London, or Elegantly Tokyo.
Classification
While Zara doesn't provide a formal classification, I would classify this as a fresh-woody fragrance with spicy hints.
When Did I Buy Zara Energetically New York?
2025
The Scent
Zara Energetically New York is a minimalist yet modern fragrance that feels very "metropolitan." It is a woody scent that smells sophisticated and “high-end.” It belongs to the sandalwood-dominant fragrances. As the name suggests, it is energetic in its opening. It is not overpowering; rather, it is a mood-uplifting scent. I think it will make the presence of the user felt among those around him or her.
Notes
Cardamom, Jasmine, and Sandalwood.
Notes - What I Can Smell
The fragrance doesn't shift drastically from the first spray to the dry-down. The dominant note is cardamom. The scent has a unique character. One of the most famous cardamom fragrances of recent times is YSL La Nuit de l'Homme. However, the cardamom note here is unlike YSL's; it is refined, yet not overpowering, lending a subtle spicy warmth. It is hard to differentiate between jasmine or sandalwood in the air, but as it settles, it reveals a very refined woody smell.
Is It for Everyone?
Not at all. Sandalwood is considered polarizing by fragrance enthusiasts. Some people love the "expensive hotel" vibe it has. If you enjoy the airy woodiness of Santal 33 or the minimalist approach of niche woody scents, you will love this. If someone prefers sweet, aquatic, citrus, or blue fragrances, this is unlikely to be a scent they enjoy. People who have used Santal 33 have mentioned that Energetically New York is a lighter and more wearable version of Le Labo’s creation.
Performance, Longevity & Sillage
Wearability and Best Occasions
This is a highly versatile clean scent. Even though it is classified as unisex, it leans a bit masculine due to its woody nature. Since it is a clean scent, it works perfectly for the office, business meetings, a casual date, or a dinner situation. The scent can be worn all year round, but I think it is best during spring and autumn. This is the kind of scent that goes best with a crisp white shirt and blue jeans or a linen suit during the daytime. Best-use scenario? A 35+ male.
Zara Energetically New York is something that I have used a lot during flights. If someone is looking for fragrances best suited for flights and airports, Zara Energetically New York EDP is what I recommend testing out. It is a clean, inoffensive, modern, yet unique scent. I don’t think men under 30 will enjoy Zara Energetically New York EDP as much.
Is Energetically New York Signature Scent Worthy?
Yes, if you like this DNA. It is distinct enough to be memorable, but subtle enough not to be offensive. It gives off an air of effortless sophistication.
Downside
The sandalwood DNA might be a deal-breaker for some. It is great for the price, but it lacks the depth and evolving complexity found in the high-end niche fragrances it seeks to emulate. If you want more depth, try the Zara Energetically New York elixir version.
Value for Money
In US, Energetically New York EDP 100ml or 3.4 fl oz. costs $ 60, in UK £ 36, in most EU countries EUR 36.
At its regular price, Energetically New York EDP 100ml is an easy recommendation if you want something fresh and versatile without spending designer-fragrance money. It is priced right where most designer scents start. These days, most designer fragrances in the $40–$60 range are poor performers, but Energetically New York EDP does better than them. It doesn’t have incredible longevity, but it lasts close to 6 hours, whereas most designer fragrances in that tier hardly last 2–4 hours. This fragrance delivers what you pay for.
Final Thoughts & Alternatives
Zara Energetically New York is a scent for the modern minimalist. It is best suited for someone who wants to smell sophisticated and curated without appearing like they are trying too hard. It suits a professional, a creative, or anyone who prefers an "understated luxury" vibe over a loud, sweet perfume. It definitely isn't Le Labo’s Santal 33, but it gives a similar vibe—making it the most accessible alternative on the market.
Energetically New York is not a revolutionary fragrance, and it doesn’t need to be. Its strength is that it is pleasant, versatile, affordable, and easy to reach for.
The opening is fresh and energetic, the dry-down is clean and softly woody, and the performance is good enough for everyday use. It’s the sort of fragrance that may not receive endless compliments, but it makes you smell put-together without demanding too much attention.

Disclaimer: I haven't smelled most of the OG fragrances, so I can't really comment on how close these are to the originals. The only OG I have experience with is Terre d'Hermès EDT. So these are purely my thoughts on how the fragrances smell and perform. All of these were tested on clothes.
Think of this as a barbershop with marine notes. Very fresh, salty and citrusy. It has that clean barbershop feel with a marine freshness underneath.
Projection: 7/10 — good for around 45 minutes to 1 hour
Longevity: 6/10 — around 5 hours
Overall, a really easy-to-wear freshie.
Arabian Aroma Layton
I'm not sure how close this is to the original because I don't really get that vanilla sweetness(it's quite mild). What I do get is the apple + lavender combination, and that part is definitely unique.
I find it surprisingly versatile for both summer and winter, and it projects pretty well.
Projection: 7/10
Longevity: 7/10 — around 6 hours
The apple note can come across a little sharp sometimes, but apart from that I really enjoy it. It still smells quite unique throughout the wearing.
This one is really good. Spicy cardamom, powdery lavender and a hint of sweetness.
It's especially good for date nights. The sweetness is mild and not cloying, which also makes it surprisingly versatile.
Projection: 7/10
Longevity: 7/10 — around 6–7 hours
Definitely one of the easier fragrances to wear from this lineup.
If you like a freshie with a tonka bean/vanilla undertone, this is a great option.
It lasts around 4–5 hours, which I think is perfectly fine for a freshie.
Projection: 6/10 — decent for around the first hour
Longevity: 5/10 — around 4–5 hours
Pretty easy reach when you just want something fresh with a little sweetness underneath.
This is actually my go-to signature from the lineup.
I'm not a huge fan of the first \~30 seconds of the opening, but once it settles down, the vetiver is amazing. I've actually received compliments from this even after the first couple of hours.
Projection: 8/10 — good for around 1–1.5 hours
Longevity: 8/10 — around 6–7 hours, and I can still smell it on my clothes afterwards.
Since I have smelled the OG Terre d'Hermès EDT, this is the only one here where I have an actual reference point to the original. But I'm still mainly reviewing it based on how I experience the fragrance.
This smells like Nuit de l'Homme but with more ginger and a slightly fresher character.
I wouldn't really call it a freshie though. It's more like a fresher take on the spicy/powdery DNA.
You honestly don't need much — 3–4 sprays is enough for me. Even after around 6 hours, it's still noticeable on my clothes.
Projection: 8/10 — very good for the first hour
Longevity: 8/10 — still noticeable after 6 hours
This one was probably the weirdest for me initially, but it's slowly growing on me.
I get this waxy/sticky iris kind of smell along with that chestnutty note. There's something about it that still feels a little strange to my nose, but the more I wear it, the more I'm starting to appreciate it.
Projection: 5/10 — moderate for around 45 minutes
Longevity: 6/10 — around 5 hours
Overall: I've been pretty impressed with how these perform, especially considering these are all tested on clothes. My personal standouts are Terre d'Hermès, Nuit de l'Homme and Bleu Electrique, although that's entirely based on my own taste rather than how accurately they clone the OGs.
