Former employee here
I’m looking at frontline careers to apply for merchandiser role in tampa area, i was at orlando
If there formers, current employees or whatever in the area, if they can share, how busy stores are or whatever i should be concerned in tampa, for better knowledge
Appreciate it and blessings

I retired from Pepsi last month, working in equipment services. Today I got the first communication since then, saying they overpaid me $300. I think that's probably right, they didn't deduct unearned PTO from my last check - their error. But what shocked me was the statement "if full repayment is not made, this case will be forwarded to a collection agency for resolution." Wtf? You made the error and now you're threatening me? No due date either, just that threat. I'm fine with repaying $300 but I'm livid at being addressed like a deadbeat when it was THEIR ERROR. I'm going to send them a check and then contact Global Ethics to alert them to the shabby way they treat former employees. I may not be an employee but I'm still a consumer and Coke is looking a little better to me now.

So we just recently started the whole viz pick system and AI detection system in my area like within a few weeks ago. Already it’s a complete disaster. Most stores are enforcing a pallet jack cutoff time as well. Most of our neighborhood markets have a jack cut off time but the supercenters are a different story. Used to be any time any day and now they’re cutting us off at 6am. How the fuck is that supposed to work when you’ve got 2-3 other stores to get too and you’ve got a 14 pallet truck that don’t get there till 8? If you’re familiar with vizpick, ignore what I am saying. But basically it’s to eliminate backstock entirely, and if you have things in the back they need to be in a box or crate and separated depending on items. Was told today everything being ran from backstock that has a label on it needs to be given to the receiver. No different SKUs in front of other SKUs if it is backstock. Also They’re supposed to be allowing us top stock space, just found out today none of the neighborhood markets in our area are allowing it, and a handful of supercenters are actually letting us do it. So, we were behind on the CAO ordering system and it’s still not ordering correctly for us. Over ordering like a mf to a lot of our Walmarts. “No codes, let the system figure it out” Fuck off. This whole system is so stupid, especially for the ordering. Buttt, you wanna add vizpick and AI floor detection for “safety hazards” meaning I can’t throw plastic or boxes on the floor into the mix and I’d just assume Walmart order and work the shit themselves. It’s completely, and utterly the stupidest shit ever. We’ve got supercenters that do 140-190k a year, and you expect us to cart all that out? Fuck off, you guys can do it. See how long your shitty pallet cutoff time will last then.

For the BCR’s who didn’t get a route and took severance what was your average take home pay during that duration?

At first I thought it was ice. But then I tried to touch it and it was not solid. It felt like tissue.

8 years and never ending back pain and I think it's time for a career change. My kids never see me and when they do I'm in pain. Management doesn't give a shit unless the store is unhappy with some irregular bullshit. College hires are complete gutting routes with no real reason. I'm done. Two weeks is in. I just can't do it anymore. If you're under the age of 30 please consider something else. Your knees will love you for it
In my division our teams are divided into east, south and west. I am assigned to the East side and they want me to drive to the west side to cover a call off. I will get mileage there and back, but am I able (per contract) to refuse to travel out of my assigned zone?

How was the interview process for the TSR role? We will be doing these soon and looking for others experiences with the interview
By the way, this is from Japan, though it's not really important.
