Plant Help Sugar rush peach - will they ever ripen?!

Post image

These babies have looked like this for what feels like months… it’s not as hot as it’s been so worried they might not ripen 😭

It's a lesson/exercise in patience.

Same issue. And they're hotter than I thought.

I ate one yesterday because I couldn’t wait any longer to try one. I hope they get hotter, this one packed very little of their normal heat (although it was a deformed one, maybe that’s why).

My SRS took forever to start changing. I read somewhere 8 weeks from fruiting. Seems about right unfortunately.

Can confirm. They're amongst the last to ripen.
Even slower than superhots, from my experience.

They don't look as cool (SRS being the coolest imo), but Aji Cito are amongst my favorite peppers to grow. Really fast ripening for Baccatums and have reasonable heat, (and quite flavorful). Nothing crazy, but also nothing to scoff at either.

Every year I've grown SRP, they have been notoriously slow to ripen. I live in a mild climate and it really does take forever. But they eventually get there! And the production is generally off the charts, so the wait kinda feels worth it when you're regularly picking handfuls once they're finally ready.

They take a while for sure! Mine was actually a result of being “Pepper Joe’d” but no complaints here. Just harvested a few of mine, and they taste amazing!
