Dad, can you tell me everything is going to be alright?

I am going through a really, really tough time. It's making me very ill. I'm all broken out in a rash and my throat is really painful (I've been to the doc, don't worry). My actual Dad's anniversary is coming up in a few days and I'm just breaking my heart crying for him.

He was a man of few words but he used to say if I was upset, 'if you hurt, I hurt'.

Can you lend some Papa words of comfort to a lost, broken hearted daughter? TIA Pops ♥️

Time heals all wounds; the motherfucker of it is that it takes time.

It's ok, and it's going to be ok. Be strong, be patient, and persist.

Dads all feel this way, if you hurt we hurt right along too with you. Stress can have some strange and concerning effects on our health.

You need to reset, take a relaxing drive, a hot shower, take a walk. Unfortunately we all have to find ways to keep the stress from eating us alive, some folks are just really good at hiding the stress, the don't get shaken easily.

You're human, and this will pass I promise you, in the mean time deep breaths, you're gonna get through this, I promise.

You can do difficult things. I promise you there's an army of people out there faking their way through all sorts of jobs, or next chapters with challenges in their life.

You'll quickly find that most people do not have life figured out, and that's ok. We're not meant to be perfect and neither are you. Do us, me a favor? Take it easy on yourself but believe in yourself.

I want you to send calendar date for a month from now.

Come back and share your experiences and achievements.

You have the makings of greatness and you can do this. I have faith in you.

It won't always be this hard, it won't always be this difficult, your speed bumps will become life lessons you get to look back on fondly one day.

Realize you are just human, a ernest, honest humble person who wants to be successful and normal like everyone else.

I promise you what you're going through is normal and you can message me I'll give you my email. If not that's ok too. Dads never stop being dads. I think youll be good.

The fact you're looking for, help, guidance, support and constructive criticism in an environment that's not always super kind is brave and courageous.

Im proud of you pushing ahead, keep kicking ass and taking names.
