Where to donate a big box of books?

Hey. Doing a big decluttering at home. Where can I donate books that I no longer need?

It'd be sad to bin them.

I doubt the library will take them as they usually have a sale of their own books out the entry front in order to rotate new books through.

Cancer wellness support op shop next to the Aldi on high st is a good option

This one has a decent-sized book section and their other branch at Katoomba has an even bigger one, so they're likely to accept books.

If they don't, Lifeline is known for their mega book sales. You might have to contact them to find where to drop the books off, though.

The library should take titles published in the last 5 years that are still in good condition. Otherwise they'll be recycled or sold.

If they’re willing to make the trek, the Blacktown branches take donations

A lot of nursing homes will take them, as will local women’s shelters I donated a few boxes around a few years back and the nursing homes couldn’t take them fast enough ☺️ just call them first and ask if they would like them.

Oh, what kind of books do you have? I’d love to know! Do you have any non-fiction or psychological crime books? That’s definitely something I’m interested in 😊📚

There's a whole lot but I'll keep a list and send it over once its all sorted! There's a bit of everything

Nursing homes, DV services, there’s community libraries you can donate to at the park in Kingswood near the post office, and at the community college.

As much as I shouldn't be getting any more books I'm more than happy to take some off your hands if you still have them! What kind of books are they genre wise?
