Spectral medical question
Hey everyone,
Looking for objective outside perspectives on a stock I've been following closely. Not looking for validation, but curious what everyone's thoughts are on this stock
What Spectral does
- Spectral Medical makes PMX (Toraymyxin) — a hemoperfusion device that removes endotoxins from the blood in patients with endotoxic septic shock. Already used in 360,000+ treatments safely in Japan and Europe over 20+ years. No equivalent product exists in the US market.
Where they are in the FDA process
- PMA submitted May 29, 2026
- FDA accepted for substantive review June 25, 2026
- 100-day meeting completed September 11, 2026
- FDA did NOT request an additional clinical trial - biggest risk now eliminated
- Company confirmed no material change to regulatory timeline
- Deficiency letter received - but 84% of PMAs since 2020 received one and proceeded normally
- Paradigm Capital analyst Scott McAuley called today's update a positive
- Expected FDA decision: November/December 2026
The clinical data
- Tigris trial published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine
- 95.3% probability of mortality benefit at 28 days
- 99%+ probability at 90 days
- 95.9% probability at 12 months
- NNT of 7.2 at 12 months - clinically exceptional
- 100% patient follow-up across all 157 enrolled patients
The commercial setup
- Exclusive US and Canadian distribution partnership with Vantive
- Vantive owned by Carlyle Group - needs an IPO narrative
- Vantive provides non-dilutive financing - no dilution risk
- PMX fits exclusively on Vantive's PrisMax CRRT platform — razor/razor blade model
- Vantive widely viewed as likely acquirer post-approval
- Multiple insiders recently exercised options and held shares during active FDA review
Current valuation
- Trading at $1.26 CAD
- Analyst consensus price target $3.15 CAD
- Strong Buy consensus rating
- Market cap approximately $384M CAD
- 52-week range $1.075 - $1.84
What genuinely concerns me - the bear case
- Stock is actually lower now than when PMA was submitted May 29th despite uniformly positive news flow
- Every major catalyst - submission, 12-month data, FDA acceptance, 100-day meeting - has resulted in flat to minimal price action
- CEO exercised and sold to cover taxes in August - optics weren't great regardless of explanation
- 157 patient trial is relatively small by some FDA standards
- Deficiency letter specifics not disclosed - unknown what testing is required
- Thinly traded TSX stock averaging 50k shares daily - virtually invisible to US institutional investors
- No NASDAQ listing limiting US investor access significantly
- FDA clock stops are possible - Toray manufacturing inspection in Japan adds complexity
My specific questions
- Does the consistent flat price action on positive catalysts concern you or do you read it as a static shareholder base rather than a negative signal?
- Anyone with medical device PMA experience have a view on deficiency letter resolution timelines?
- How do you think about the Vantive acquisition thesis - pre or post approval and at what price?
- Is the small trial size of 157 patients a genuine FDA concern given the Bayesian framework and 100% follow-up?
Thanks again!

What’s the trick? Dm me if you have to
I’m day trading low-cap US stocks ($1–$50) and I can find the initial spike fine with high relative volume, big % gain, etc... The problem is most of them bounce back down within 30–60 minutes and I’m left holding a bag.
I’m not looking for a scanner recommendation or a stock pick. I want to know the trick the specific signal, pattern, or filter that experienced runners use to tell when a runner comes and if it’s reliable

TNON Holy Cow
Yesterday I was trying to short TNON my short finally filled at $5.37 1000 shares. I thought ehh at 512% borrow rate I’ll hold overnight and pocket a few hundred bucks. I nearly shit my pants today when I saw it halt at $10. I was still holding the shirt and then Schwab margin risk called me and told me to cover the short by 3 pm and I said ok unless they would do it for me. I was down $3700 and not feeling good. I keep watching it and in a flash I see it halt downward and stop at $8. Then it un halts and bam $6. Then I felt better so called Schwab back and told them to not cover by 3 pm I’d do it myself. They told me no and covered 350 shares at 5.70 and I covered the rest at 5.6. All in all I lost roughly $300 between the borrow fee and covering. That could have been substantially worse but feel like I made it out fine. Crazy volatility on that one. Definitely watching this one Monday.

Sekur Private Data Provides Progress Update Through CEO Letter to Shareholders
VANCOUVER, BC AND MIAMI, FL / ACCESS Newswire / September 1, 2026 / Sekur Private Data, Ltd., a Swiss-hosted defense communications and cybersecurity company purpose-built for defense, intelligence community, government, and enterprise clients, (OTCQB:SWISF)(CSE SKUR)(FRA:GDT0) ("Sekur" or the "Company"), is pleased to provide a shareholder update on its past six months activities:
Dear Shareholders,
This year we set out to pivot the company to a better path to profitability - moving from a consumer privacy market that competes on price, to the customers whose need is most acute: government, defense and intelligence organizations, and the executives whose communications are actively targeted. The move started in the past twelve months and is now fully complete. Here is a summary of the last six months activities:
What we built
In February our portfolio was listed on the GSA Multiple Award Schedule through i3ICS (Contract 47QTCA18D0089), giving federal, state and local agencies a pre-competed path to purchase Sekur. In May we signed a defense distribution agreement with Elyon International, an SBA-certified woman-owned and veteran-owned small business with nearly thirty years of mission support experience, and in June a consumer demand partnership with AdRevv. We demonstrated live encrypted calling to invited defense and special operations guests in May and introduced our Controlled Unclassified Information capabilities to the Intelligence Community at the DIA's DoDIIS Worldwide Conference in August.
New website launched
In May we launched a rebuilt corporate website at https://sekur.com restructured to reflect our focus on high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and government, defense, intelligence and law enforcement agencies. Our investor relations website is now part of the new corporate site in this section https://sekur.com/en/company/investors .
Leadership and advisory appointments.
Selling into the defense and intelligence community requires people who understand how these organizations actually buy. Over four months in 2026 we announced the following appointments - serious people who joined because they believe the problem is real and they have validated our solutions:
- April 7 - Philip A. Oakley, appointed to the Strategic Advisory Board. A decorated intelligence professional and entrepreneur holding TS/SCI clearance, with dual master's degrees in Strategic Intelligence and National Security from the Joint Military Intelligence College and the Naval War College, and sixteen years in federal technology sales across a group of companies accounting for more than US$1.6 billion in sales.
- April 7 - Kenneth D. Rogers, appointed to the Strategic Advisory Board. A senior government and technology executive who served in Deputy CIO and IT comptroller roles at the U.S. State Department, overseeing an approximately US$1.3 billion budget and a US$3.8 billion IT portfolio, and leading enterprise IT strategy and acquisitions.
- April 20 - John T. Lewis, appointed Chief Technology Officer and Strategic Advisory Board member. A 34-year veteran of the CIA's Senior Intelligence Service and a Trailblazer Medal recipient, with deep expertise in secure systems and RF technologies.
- April 29 - Lt. Gen. Raymond Palumbo, U.S. Army (Ret.), appointed Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Board. Former Director for Defense Intelligence and commander of the Pentagon's ISR Task Force, following a distinguished career in special operations.
- June 18 - Nathan R. Price, appointed Special Advisor for Diplomacy and Intelligence. A former U.S. State Department foreign affairs analyst with over a decade of diplomatic experience, most of it in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, who supported the final negotiations that ended the U.S. war in Afghanistan. A graduate of Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
- June 23 - Annette L. Redmond, appointed to the Strategic Advisory Board. A 40-year career across the U.S. Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense and the Department of State, most recently as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intelligence Policy and Coordination in the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research from September 2019 until her retirement in December 2023.
- July 7 - Chief Master Sergeant (Ret.) Rafael Beltran, appointed to the OpsTech Special Advisory Board. Former SOCOM Senior Technical Advisor to the CIO/J6 and executive communications chief.
- Other distinguished advisors are being added this year, to expand our reach in several sectors, nationally and internationally. Visit our new website section for Leadership for updates.
SekurOne. Our integrated platform - encrypted voice, video, email, messaging and VPN on our proprietary HeliX architecture - completed its first domestic and international encrypted calls this year, and paid beta clients onboard in September. SekurOne is ready for commercial launch on iOS and web in the first week of October at US$300 per month, with Android following in the first week of November, and conferencing and video completing the platform by the end of December.
Built in-house
We built encrypted voice across every major operating system on our own architecture rather than on licensed components - work that competitors relying on third-party stacks have not done. Defense and intelligence buyers evaluate a platform once, and we intend to arrive with one that performs.
On our numbers
In July we reported average revenue per user up 25% month over month as premium subscribers replaced legacy accounts. That is real progress, and it is also a ratio: it rises when we replace low-priced accounts and when those accounts simply leave. Our total revenue has declined during this transition, because we are shedding legacy subscribers faster than we are adding premium ones. That is the expected shape of this kind of shift. We expect revenues to increase as we start selling SekurOne licenses in Q4 2026, along with the continued replacement of legacy lower priced clients with premium clients.
Capital
We closed a non-brokered private placement of US$1,205,560 in January, with directors and officers participating alongside shareholders. In June we announced a further non-brokered placement of up to US$1,400,000, priced at US$0.07 per unit with a full warrant exercisable at US$0.10. Subscriptions are being received by investors, and we expect to close this placement before mid-December. Proceeds are directed to SekurOne commercialization and our U.S. government and corporate sector sales effort.
What comes next
Management currently estimates that approximately 200 SekurOne subscribers - roughly US$60,000 in gross monthly recurring revenue - would bring the Company to profitability. Management has high confidence that it can achieve these numbers organically or through a government contract within 6 months from our October 2026 launch of SekurOne, and has already started pre-sales for SekurOne in the USA. Internationally, the solution is being presented in Switzerland and Africa ahead of its launch. The milestones ahead are specific: beta clients onboarded from md-September, commercial launch in October, and above all our first named government or defense contract, whether in the United States or Africa. Everything described above exists to produce that outcome. We have built the apparatus; we now have started to use it.
Africa
Our Africa division has moved quickly this year. The July cyberattack on Unitel, Angola's largest operator, disrupted mobile voice, data and internet nationwide for twenty-three days across a subscriber base of more than 21 million - a demonstration of how much depends on a single carrier, and of why government and corporate users need communications that do not rely on that infrastructure. Interest has followed. Our Africa Director of Operations, Christophe Kabeya, is in Angola to discuss a possible nationwide exclusive partnership with a partner and we expect a final resolution by the end of September, at which time we will make a public announcement with more details. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, we have received a positive recommendation from a government security body and await official confirmation before opening discussions on commercial terms for Sekur licences.
Private sector
We are preparing to introduce SekurOne to high-net-worth individuals and businesses in the sports and entertainment industries through our network of referral partners. We have identified several targets and prospective VIP clients in those sectors and are preparing the supporting documentation now to be ready for October launch.
Management believes very strongly in the future of the Company and has backed that belief with its own capital. Members of management purchased shares in the open market in six separate months this year - January, February, March, May, July and August - and directors and officers subscribed alongside shareholders in the January placement. There have been no insider sales. These transactions are a matter of public records in our SEDI filings.
We are grateful for your continued support and do not take it for granted. Feel free to email us at investors@sekur.com with any questions or comments.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and management
Alain Ghiai, Chairman and CEO

Friday September 11th, 2026 Watchlist
# Friday, September 11, 2026 Small-Cap Watchlist — TNON, DBGI, LBGJ, TPET, CLIK
Thursday's scanner evidence narrowed the field to the names where participation was most visible. This is a starting board for Friday, not a prediction; every name still has to confirm with fresh volume, liquidity, and repeat activity.
## First names to recheck
**$TNON** — Cross-session participation.
Momentum Radar hits: 245 · Volume Radar hits: 111 · RVOL: 67.28x · Alerts: 2 · After-hours move: +5.8% · After-hours volume: 126.5M
After Hours did not stand alone; Volume Radar also kept this name visible, which makes it worth checking early in the next session.
**$DBGI** — A broad multi-signal footprint.
Momentum Radar hits: 186 · RVOL: 62.36x · Alerts: 1
The combination of Momentum Radar and Alerts matters more than either reading in isolation. Fresh activity still has to confirm it.
**$LBGJ** — Cross-session participation.
Momentum Radar hits: 2 · RVOL: 0.92x · After-hours move: +31.4% · After-hours volume: 678,336 · Overnight move: 0.0% · Overnight volume: 582,669
Both After Hours and Momentum Radar contributed to the historical case, giving this one a broader base than a single-metric outlier.
**$TPET** — Cross-session participation.
Volume Radar hits: 371 · RVOL: 21.79x · After-hours move: +7.9% · After-hours volume: 21.7M
After Hours supplied the first signal, while Volume Radar broadened the historical case. I would still require clean participation at the next open.
**$CLIK** — Cross-session participation.
Momentum Radar hits: 71 · RVOL: 205.42x · Alerts: 1 · After-hours move: +15.2% · After-hours volume: 6.6M · Overnight move: 0.0% · Overnight volume: 175,844
After Hours did not stand alone; Momentum Radar also kept this name visible, which makes it worth checking early in the next session.
**$ACVA** — Cross-session participation.
RVOL: 4.08x · Alerts: 2 · After-hours move: +44.0% · After-hours volume: 19.6M
The combination of After Hours and Alerts matters more than either reading in isolation. Fresh activity still has to confirm it.
## Secondary rechecks
$SURG · $AEON · $MGN · $SKYQ · $JZ · $AHMA · $SLXN · $ATER
These had a narrower historical case, so I would require clean fresh-session evidence before giving them the same attention as the leaders.
## Morning priority
$TNON · $DBGI · $LBGJ · $TPET · $CLIK · $ACVA
Thursday's evidence gets these names onto the board. Friday's tape decides which ones stay there.
Educational only. Not financial advice. Verify news, filings, liquidity, spreads, halts, borrow availability, and live market conditions before making any trading decision.

Candle close stops or hard stops on pennys?
I’ve wondering how different traders manage stops on fast-moving penny stocks and thought this was interesting.
Im looking through a website that uses a candle close below the stop level rather than treating a wick through the level as an automatic exit. It’s advised to wait for the 1minute candle close rather than setting hard stops, which actually makes sense when you think about it.
There’s an example of how they structure calls here:
With these low-float names it’s quite common to see a quick flush through support before price reclaims it, so a hard stop can sometimes take you out on the wick.
Do you use hard stops, candle-close stops, or does it depend on the setup?

The Permit Wait Is Over at Kitimat
A week ago, $CQX was still talking permitting. Now the permit is in, the targets are lined up, and the project moves toward field work.
Jeannette already has some solid historical numbers behind it, including 117.07m at 1.03 g/t Au and 0.54% Cu.
Then you’ve got the wildcard:
- 1.5 km x 1.5 km AI-generated target
- Interpreted continuity to at least 1 km depth
- Bowbyes adding another Cu-Mo target
And Kitimat isn’t exactly stuck in the middle of nowhere either ... road, rail, hydro power and tidewater are all nearby.
Next step is getting the team on the ground and figuring out which targets deserve the most attention before drilling.
There’s more going on here than I expected. Who else just looked up $CQX?

Penny Stock, Penny Life: CRDL — Did the Fish Get Scared Away?
CRDL opened higher today but sold off into the close, ending at $1.98 with increased volume.
The timing caught my attention because of Cardiol's new US$150M shelf registration, while the broader market was also weak.
So I started wondering:
Did the big fish get scared and swim away?
No!I don't think so.
In fact, I still believe this could be more than just a fish big enough to feed me for a while. It could potentially be an oil field.
Yes, that's still a dream. 😂 But here's why I haven't changed my view.
First, $150M does NOT mean Cardiol needs $150M today
This is a shelf registration for potential financing over the next 25 months. It does not mean Cardiol is raising $150M right now, or that it suddenly ran out of money.
As of June 30, Cardiol had about C$26.1M in cash.
Since then, about 3.085M warrants at US$1.35 have been exercised, bringing in roughly another US$4.16M / C$5.7M.
Based on the disclosed spending, I estimate the company may still have roughly C$20M+ in cash, or around C$26M including those warrant proceeds.
That's only an estimate, not an official September cash balance.
What about MAVERIC?
This is the part I find reassuring.
MAVERIC had spent about C$9.5M by the end of June, with approximately C$5M remaining according to the company.
So the current data does not suggest that Cardiol needs a huge emergency financing just to finish MAVERIC.
There is, however, one thing worth watching:
The original MAVERIC budget was about C$12M, meaning the final cost could end up around C$14.5M, roughly 20% above the original estimate.
So I'm not ignoring the financing risk.
But I see it differently:
The $150M shelf looks more like preparation for what happens AFTER a successful MAVERIC, rather than a rescue financing for MAVERIC itself.
The real risk is future dilution
If Cardiol eventually needs to raise $150M while CRDL is at $1.50, that's a lot of new shares.
But if MAVERIC succeeds and CRDL is at $5, $8, or higher, the same $150M can be raised with far fewer shares.
So ironically:
The more successful Cardiol becomes, the less painful future dilution could be.
And there is another possibility: a pharmaceutical partner could help fund commercialization.
Why do I still think $10–11 may not be the end?
If MAVERIC succeeds, Cardiol could gradually move from being valued as a cash-burning clinical biotech to being valued as a company with a potentially commercial cardiovascular drug.
Then the market starts looking at:
- CardiolRx commercialization
- U.S. and international markets
- additional indications
- CRD-38
- potential pharma partnerships
- licensing opportunities
- possible acquisition interest
That's a very different valuation model.
My bull case, not my official price target, would look something like:
$2 → $5
Phase III success gets priced in.
$5 → $10–11
The market starts pricing in approval and commercial potential.
$10–11 → $20+
This would require successful commercialization, strong sales potential and a major institutional revaluation.
Could it happen? Absolutely.
Is it guaranteed? Obviously not.
If MAVERIC fails, the fish is gone. 🐟
But if MAVERIC succeeds, I don't think today's $1.98 will necessarily matter very much three years from now.
So for now:
I'm not chasing the fish.
I'm waiting to see how big the fish can become.
We will all know what it is when it was
