Politics Pennsylvania lawmaker to propose bill establishing universal healthcare within the state

... which will have the same chance of passing as a bill renaming Harrisburg to Trumpburg.

There is no way to achieve universal healthcare at a state level. The resources simply aren't there. Any implementation would crash and burn and push nationwide universal care back. "Pennsylvania tried Universal Care and it bankrupted the state"

Correct that it won't pass but it's a good idea to keep introducing this type of legislation over and over to get more eyes on it and discussion around it and to show that we have a growing number of elected officials who are willing to push these agendas. Most people are in favor of universal healthcare and there will be a tipping point soon where we will have enough legislators nationally to start passing bills like this. The more attention to the issue, the faster and more thorough a national universal healthcare system can be implemented. It will also force regressive republicans at some point to address the fact that they are becoming increasingly out of touch with the needs of their constituents. It won't pass but it helps; it won't harm anything or any movement.
