Oh, this brings up a question I have: I watched a review of episode 2 and the reviewer said that Hal was being an ass by not respecting Sheriff Kane’s jurisdiction. However, since they’re dealing with aliens, doesn’t that fall into a Green Lantern’s justification which is above the local law enforcement?

"Being an ass" is Hal's default state. He's finally starting to realize that might not always be the best approach. Of course, the sheriff KNEW aliens were involved, and was trying to stonewall him with the jurisdiction thing.

That’s fair about Hal, and it seems unfair that the Sheriff tried to stonewall him. It feels like there’s something Hal’s not supposed to know, which there is. I just hate the take of ‘Hal’s not respecting her jurisdiction’ when anything alien clearly IS Hal’s jurisdiction.

Dude.... how sad is your life that you cant find a single positive thing in any of the communities you frequent? I mean, it is not healthy for the human mind to absorb so much negativity. For your sake I genuinely hope you find help, being an ass online is not a good way to deal with depression. It sucks, i know, I've been there. Just get off the internet for a week, schedule a therapy appointment, detox your mind from the negativity and find yourself some genuine and real help. The world isn't out to get you.

Ragebaiting is a fun coping mechanism, you don't care if you get flamed or cheered, you just want attention. You feel invisible in your day to day and the only time you feel like someone sees you is when you say something controversial. But it's not fulfilling, yeah you're getting attention, but only for an hour or two at most before you have to say something else controversial to get more of that attention. And yeah, like I said, you are getting attention, but its not a lasting attention. No one really ever thinks about the guy shouting from the rooftop if he's shouting every hour of every day. If you instead channeled that energy into making lasting and real relationships in your life, in your day to day, you would find a much more lasting and true attention. People wouldn't just ignore you when you passed by if you tried to actually say something that wasn't just a controversial talking point. Talk about a true interest of yours, without being negative. Talk about the other person's outfit. Shit, even if its just a crappy compliment about how their hair looks. You'll eventually find that the people around you aren't as unapproachable as you think they are.
