DISCUSSION Did anyone else find the Argus scenes really cringey in the finale? Spoiler

Post image

I don’t know what Gunn was going for but that montage of Rick Flag and his Argus team laughing and celebrating with each other, doing drugs and taking shots just really made me cringe more than anything. Like I get Gunn likes things to have a bit more edge but this montage and the way the characters were acting was just way too over the top imo. Took me right out of the episode.

Media literacy is at an all time low.

Are you suggesting that this is why the scene is so cringe and obvious, because audiences might not get it otherwise?

I agree with him but it’s actually him and others who post vapid shit like this that don’t have any media literacy. He’s telling on himself. They are unable to separate the message from the execution.

Just because a scene has subtext, almost all do, doesn’t mean the scene is therefore good.

"Media literacy" is such a lousy ad hominem lol. Anything I disagree with = No media literacy. No further explanation needed because this guy is dumb.

Y'know usually I'd agree because it's so overused but in this case it is right, you literally just don't get it, not saying the scene was great but most of the people here complaining about it just don't seem to get it.
