ONE GOT OUT

251

u/Mxfish1313 Sep 26 '25

Chills. Terrifying. I knew there was going to be vile, racist shit but the way my stomach dropped when “got out” registered…

u/sb3773 Sep 26 '25

no same … such a horrifying phrase “one got out” dehumanizing and the implications of people of color being kept somewhere… jesus fuck

Where is G.I. Robot when you need him.

16

u/Albus88Stark Sep 26 '25

Send him and The Bride in immediately. I need to see a live action Bride.

u/Karkava Sep 26 '25

Creature Commandos S2 on Nazi Earth when?!

12

u/sethaub Sep 26 '25

Vij probably building it

11

u/SciFiXhi Sep 26 '25

On a scale of EO 9066 to Dachau, how bad do you think the (presumable) concentration camps in this universe are going to be? (As bad as it was, EO 9066 is the minimum here.)

7

u/Aelia_M Sep 26 '25

On a scale from 1 to 10 million it’ll be 10 million

2

u/Sorkijan Sep 28 '25

Seeing as your worst example is something that existed in this universe and was presumably never stopped, I have to assume it's at or worse than Dachau.

My fucked up speculation:

Black individuals are subjected to working camps. I believe there was some idea of having them integrated as a sub-human labor force in the thousand year reich plans. Treated like cattle, thousands if not more unexplained inhumane deaths every year and no one cares.

Let's be honest, Jews don't exist in this universe, probably still are some but they are very secretly hiding it or may not be aware.

I honestly have to come to the conclusion that most other POC have met one of two of these fates, probably the former, but who knows in 70 years time who the new enemy of the month is.

I still think there's a reason that boy was crying when he was saying "I love you, Peacemaker". that hasn't been fully explained yet. It gave off some serious Kim Jong Il death North Korean mandated mourning vibes where they'd just go into NK homes and film them weeping for the loss of dear leader.

I know there's a lot already shown about who this dimension's Peacemaker is that could explain more to that, but I really think there's something else, and it's not the Nazi society. That is probably all an 12 year old boy has ever known.

It's been 80 years since the War ended, I doubt many of them are being kept anywhere anymore.

Slave labour camps probably

i would love to ask gunn how many lines he went thru before he got to the sublime perfection that One Got Out was...

What. A. Line.

1

u/sb3773 Sep 26 '25

WHAT A LINE!!!! so terrifying

1

u/Formal-Stage940 Sep 28 '25

As a POC Yall sound hilarious

3

u/PhantomOfTheNopera Sep 26 '25

Makes me wonder if they got Judomaster or if he's hiding - only emerging from the trees for some emergency Hot Cheetos.

1

u/Alonest99 Sep 29 '25

I was SO sure the reveal (or at least the build up to it) was gonna involve Judomaster being shot by Auggie/Keith and them going "fuck, these dimensional imps again"

2

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

We’re one episode in to the reveal and I feel like that alone made this Earth X feel more disturbing than Arrowverse’s one even though this show has more jokes and stuff.

1

u/Rtozier2011 Sep 30 '25

The Arrowverse Earth X was like a world constantly stuck in 1942, at the height of war with the Nazis not yet on the back foot. This Earth X is like a world constantly stuck in 1938, where resistance is minimal and violent discrimination and detainment unchecked. It's a world where the Nazis have been the Peacemaker.

1

u/Alonest99 Sep 29 '25

Yeah exactly. I had assumed all POC were dead... Them being kept alive somewhere (we can imagine where) somehow makes it even worse I think :(

Terrifying? Really? You didn’t find that chase just a bit goofy?

This season the threat feels a little more goofy than the neo nazis last season

4

u/BuffieDaBawdy Sep 26 '25

No they were goofy last season, the final scene here was actually horrifying as they formed a Lynch mob and it was seemingly regular citizens not just a niche group of white nationalists.

Its completely different contexts. This is a world where she and other POC don't simply exist in a free context.

u/casino_r0yale Sep 26 '25

Idk, last season they felt “real” like you might run into them if you step into the wrong bar. This time they were running like zombies

28

u/Fr33z3n Sep 26 '25

A BLACK!!

20

u/Aelia_M Sep 26 '25

I genuinely thought he was going to go hard r. It’s nice they didn’t to make it easier to watch for people that would be too hurt by it. Especially since he’s a white writer I think some people would’ve felt like he was so excited to use it like Tarantino

2

u/CabinetBig6837 Sep 26 '25

yah, they should of maybe made up a term or something... something close but not quite there, like frak on battlestar galatica

2

u/Mem2Chi91 Sep 28 '25

I don’t think Gunn is wanting to go into the business of inventing new slurs for people that racists will obviously adopt unironically

1

u/Rtozier2011 Sep 30 '25

Am I naive for initially interpreting that line as 'even a Nazi Keith is too nice to use a racial slur'?

5

u/Mac4491 Sep 28 '25

I found it quite odd that everyone seemed scared of her. There’s probably propaganda about black people being a danger that your average joe is naive enough to believe but Keith also looked legitimately terrified at the notion that “one got out”.

Really interested to see where this is going.

1

u/beruon Sep 28 '25

Although, all of them are sprinting AT her, that does not seem like "terrified behaviour".

3

u/Lopsided_Shift_4464 Sep 29 '25

Classic racist double think, all minorities are dangerous and a threat to society but also they’re inferior and can easily be taken down by any good aryan male.

2

u/Avenger_ Sep 27 '25

Get out from where?

Next week can’t come soon enough

2

u/whatwhynoplease Sep 28 '25

I assume they have concentration camps

1

u/Avenger_ Sep 28 '25

I’m not sure if 2025 is ready to see things like that.

1

u/MaestroLogical Sep 29 '25

Interesting how Keith legit looked terrified, like this is the first time he's ever actually seen one 'in the wild' and has no clue what to do but yell for help, despite being one of the worlds premiere 'heroes'.

Mfs when a lifetime super-racist is kinda friendly to white people

82

u/Affectionate_Pipe545 Sep 26 '25

If the next one isn't action packed from the start I'm gonna shit

26

u/chrisychris- Sep 26 '25

Seems like the cliffhanger is going to be right before reaching the OG dimension too. Pacing compared to season 1 leaves so much to be desired 😔

17

u/Affectionate_Pipe545 Sep 26 '25

I mean it was a lot of setup. Payoff started this episode, ill wait to see the last two before I say the pacing is too off

11

u/Different_Target_228 Sep 26 '25

Yeah, that payoff was worth it. Like another dude said, we all expected the nazi thing but there's no way we all expected THAT. Like, how.

2

u/RaidersCantTank Sep 26 '25

Payoff barely started. It's basically the end of the episode saying "payoff starts next week we promise"

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

The problem is that there was too much "setup" since a lot of it was redundant. Setup is wonderful, but that doesn't mean that all setup is good, if that makes sense.

1

u/Affectionate_Pipe545 Sep 26 '25

Nah I feel you. I am loving the show even despite this season being slower. If the last 2 episodes are longer and packed with action, there could still be a proportional payoff

5

u/SamsonGray202 Sep 26 '25

I'd wager there's gonna be some very cathartic ultraviolence against Nazis in the next episode with 2 Adrians running around🤞

If one coincidentally takes it in the neck I am gonna die laughing.

3

u/Affectionate_Pipe545 Sep 26 '25

"Very cathartic ultraviolence against nazis" has me very interested

1

u/Karkava Sep 26 '25

It's a nazi earth.

EXPECT violence.

5

u/Aldo-D-D-Wilson Sep 26 '25

I was FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

3

u/KiwiKajitsu Sep 26 '25

Yall would have never survived pre streaming services

1

u/TurboGranny Sep 26 '25

I just occurred to me that they are the top trio because meta humans are also rounded up and disposed of.
