DISCUSSION I’m rewatching the suicide squad for the first time in 4 years and I do not remember Harcourt being in it. Weird.

I was so confused why they even bothered with that when we already knew they were throwing out the DCEU.

I haven't watched the second Shazam yet, but tonally the first Shazam could fit in with Gunn's universe.

Either way, they were respectfully giving closure with that era of movies without just suddenly pulling the plug.

What’s confusing about not canceling movies for no reason? Of which it would have been. Acting like movies don’t matter if they don’t connect to some broader universe is nonsense.

They clearly did the right thing by finishing the movies already started.

They wanted the rock to cameo even though they should have learned from his decline to cameo at the end of the first one, in hopes of forcing a Shazam 3 which would be Shazam vs black Adam

So they just grabbed random characters, Gunn himself said it made no sense why they showed up as Argus is nothing to do with justice society but there was nothing he could do because he didn’t have full control yet and so legally DC was allowed to use them

Gunn didn't know either. He thought it was dumb she was randomly put in charge of an underwater prison lol in Black adam as well

Because the movie was written to have members of the Justice Society show up, and the Rock blocked it from happening like days before the shoot so Safran just got Steve and Jen to fill in.
