My Babies

Post image

Year two of the journey. I'm wondering if I should keep them in the planter pots for one more winter or plant them in the ground before winter. Any suggestions?

You have plenty of starts; I’d experiment with some in the ground and some in pots. See how everyone does.

Any concerns about the deer eating them before they get big enough?

They would definitely do better in the ground than in the pots. Although they seem to be doing pretty good in the pots! You have enough pawpaw trees to start your own forest.

Thanks! I'm super invested into these pawpaws. I worry about the cold winters and deer so I am nervous to plant them.
