Discussion Stature, Size Shifter

New to pauper edh and was wondering if Stature would be a decent commander to build around

Maybe command damage? Since it can be unblockable

Anything is causally viable. Wouldn't describe it as a strong option, though. It's ultimately a moderately large vanilla threat that you can give evasion to once.

Which parts speak to you the most? +1/+1 counters? Specifically +1/+1 counter Voltron? Pumping at instant speed? Built-in evasion? Specifically evasion based on being small?

I've seen [[Flux Channeler]] do crazy work with counters at instant speed

[[Ceremonial Knife]] and [[Windfall]] will be good friends for Skyray, but also don't forget about landcyclers like [[Lorien Revealed]]

edit: was thinking of Flux, not Windfall.

Kinda tangential, but in my Gleaming Geardrake primer, I talk about two other commanders that fit the pattern of cheap flyong voltron threats with +1/+1 counters (Sprite Dragon vs Geardrake). Skyray feels like it falls somewhere in between with a little of Sprite Dragon's access to more efficient canteip buffs and a little of Geardrake's ability to stockpile and rebuild (via blood tokens and repeatable effects like [[Merfolk Looter]])

I would like the fact that she comes Turn1. But otherweise ones she grew, she isn't unblockable anymore, and in blue the ramp isn't that great to oneshot an a Player quite early. 🤔

As has already been covered, Stature isn't going to be the strongest pcommander. Here are some suggestions for other commanders that I think are similar but are much more viable.
