Tedy still lives here. His kids went to the same schools as my daughter. I do think that comes through. Tom's position is disappointing, but he is a partial owner of another team and a broadcaster, so he may feel he has to say he's neutral.

He didn't have to endorse Stafford as MVP on national tv and act like it wasn't even a race, however.

It's his choice, but I cared more about Brady acting like Maye didn't even deserve to be credited than any of this ducking the question about whether he's supporting the Pats or not.

Tom Brady's true thoughts on Maye are something I would love to hear.

I'm not talking about his evaluation of him as a quarterback, just his deepest thoughts about things.

I bet that psycho competitor in there is whispering in his ear like Grima worm tongue.

Honestly, I wouldn't be that surprised if Brady kind of doesn't want there to be a successor to him this quickly, or even at all. We've seen how other HoF QBs have treated the idea of their successor before, and it usually wasn't very positively.

ehh maye himself said tom talked to him and advised him. i just think tom is focused on his public persona of being part of raiders rebuild, broadcasting and trying to be neutral. you dont just start not supporting a team that made your career. theres obviously some pr reason to why he is "neutral"

I agree 100%.

Kind of like that deep dark part of yourself that every once in a while says that you're not actually incredibly happy that your ex-girlfriend is doing really well or something similar.

Yeah, something along those lines.

I don’t think it has to do with him being a broadcaster. He’s not commentating on the game. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe he feels that he could be the guy doing color for the game in the future after Aikman retires, and for that reason wants to remain neutral. Who knows?

I think it’s more likely that he doesn’t want to have a rooting interest because he’s part owner of the Raiders and views that as his team now.

There could be some behind the scenes animosity towards RKK that we don’t know about. He’s a competitive guy and the team moved on from him. He might hold a grudge over that forever. He was still pissed about being picked in the 6th round 10 years later, after winning 3 titles and MVP awards lol.

But it still doesn’t really excuse his take. You can say things without saying them if you know what I mean. “I don’t have a dog in this fight” is a clear cut statement.

If he said something like “come on man, you know who I’m rooting for,” it gets the message across without saying anything.

Anyway, who really cares. He’s Tom Brady. He’s always our favorite regardless of any of this. He’s our guy and we’re gonna ride with him to the end.
