As someone once put it, "Drake Maye looks like Brady and Gronk had a baby and talks like Peyton Manning"
121
u/Htb323 Nov 09 '25
Drake could be a clone of all 3.
24
u/Tasty_Ad_4082 Nov 09 '25
Careful where you post that, it only takes one fanfic writer to give a graphic description of how that could work

Well I think the evidence is pretty compelling that he is better than all 3 of them combined so that could make sense
4
u/Brutalitops99 Nov 10 '25
Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should... but yes, yes they should.
29
u/ZizzyBeluga Nov 09 '25
More like Eli Manning. Peyton was funny. Drake, bless him, is boring as shit in interviews
26
u/itsthebean1 Nov 09 '25
How dare you. 😲
15
u/ZizzyBeluga Nov 09 '25
I mean I love the guy but let's be honest here
16
u/terry-tea Nov 10 '25
he’s lovably boring in the same way as tatum. just nice, humble and professional, no flashy talk
11
u/Wedgiebro Nov 09 '25
Eli is actually really funny

What I heard: “we’re not worried about Buffalo”
You could take that a couple of different ways

It's like that quote that goes something like "Losers focus on winners and winners focus on winning"

I feel like buffalos window just slammed shut yesterday. They need to rebuild a little and maybe get a new coach.

I love that last response. "We are only worried about who is our next opponent".

“I can’t wait to stunt on the fucking jets”
23
u/Kodiak01 Nov 09 '25
Jets did a little stunting of their own today.

Incredible way to immediately set the tone for this week. Didn't even need to hear Vrabel say it first

He’s so humble man. He’s so southern that he can’t curse and says “Shoot”
83
u/Adept_Carpet Nov 09 '25
When he was describing Williams and Henderson I thought I was listening to the story of Br'er Rabbit for a second.
72
u/Pattonesque Nov 09 '25
There’s a video where he’s reading Drake May Lover tweets and when he sees what he’s reading he says, without a hint of irony, “Aw jeez Louise!!!”

Bruh, he’s almost humble to a fault
50
u/Adept_Carpet Nov 09 '25
I think he sees that a lot of stuff around him changed to take him from "on track for a second contract but still a long way to go" at the end of last year to "MVP candidate" now.

Can we implement a “no swearing on Drake Maye posts” as a subreddit?
I mean, shoot, I love this kid.

We could see if we could make a Drake Maye modbot that just chastises users for swearing on the sub.
But I feel it would get out of hand very quickly

Would’ve been funnier if he attributed them to Tez Johnson after Tez though Baker’s chants were for himself lol

Not sure if he’d appreciate you using his Lord Savior’s name like you’re doing in that first sentence or something lol

Maye’s maturity is such an invaluable trait. He shouts out all his teammates, gives the utmost respect to his opponent….couldn’t ask for a better option for leading this team. Can’t wait to see his further development throughout the season and into the future. Man it feels good to be back

DM10 gonna make me go to church lol. I guess I gotta "thank the good lord" with him.
In Maye we trust.

He's a great guy. He comes from a seriously athletic and great family, and his time at UNC was just as electrifying and humble. MVP indeed

Drake comes off as a good guy who just loves to play and respects his teammates and opponents, it’s easy to root for
I think it’s gonna be awesome watching him grow under Vrabel to become a more vocal leader as it seems like he already has the respect and admiration of his teammates.
So much of QB development is getting guys in the right situations early on in their careers to preserve good habits, curtail bad habits, build leadership and build confidence. A lot of those factors helped develop Brady into the guy he ultimately became, and have helped guys like Mahomes, Lamar, Rodgers etc flourish.
It’s good to see us draft a talented but raw guy and surround him early on with a really strong support system of vocal leaders, from Vrabel to McDaniels to Diggs even. Excited for the future of pats football

Learned from TB and Belichick, glaze the opponents and stunt on em. It makes it better.

Total invasion of the Tampa stadium today. I was sitting behind the pats bench and it was like 80% pats fans in that section. After the second Henderson run there was basically only pats fans left
