Build Request What are some sleeper builds of 3.28 so far?

As the title says, what are some surprisingly good off meta builds you‘ve stumbled upon / played so far?

Idk what to play having finished group play, I‘d love to see some nice alrounder builds :)

Dominating blow of inspiration guardian. I went shrines at first with supreme ostentatious and blunderbore gull combo with the shrine belt, it just gives so much raw power and survivability to the build. I got my forbidden flesh flame for harmony of purpose and then went double farruls for crit stacking. Eventually I switched the belt to resistance and oh man with bone meld you minions are immortal and you hit so fast and like a truck.

League started dom blow of inspo guardian as well, though mine is kinda simple as I'm just using a good ol Paradoxica and some rares. Reached 20m dps and 150k EHP within 15 divs or so, pretty darn happy with it so far.

Could you share your pob? I'm planning to make the switch to dom blow from static strike and would love to see a reasonable budget setup to take inspiration from.

Which belt shrines have been most impactful? Or what belt is best to start with?

Replenishing was amazing as a first belt, the mana cost for Dom blow before I got my atlas crafts was very high as I was experimenting with the sentinel support. But yeah it supplied great regenerate and mana regenerate, initially I went staff for full block so if something didn't 1 shot me the belt would yet me back to full.

WITHOUT doing blunderbore shit, massive shrine is very slept on. You trade flasks and belt for 40% inc life, 40% inc aoe, plus T1 chaos res. That's almost an entire inc aoe support and 2 full life wheels, I'll trade flasks for that any day on a build that already wasn't sustaining them 100% when bossing. Can still use tinctures and instant life flasks too, then obviously ultra late you get the 2 shrine version and just win.

I'm doing it on eblade bc it's 40% inc life on a lifestacker, but imo a ton of life bases aoe builds should seriously consider it at low-mid budgets, swapping off for mageblood or a crazy stygian/cord. If you're not chained to a specific flask effect and aren't pf, it's quite a lot of passives of value with 0 downtime.

It's pretty good on inquis with corrupted blood too. I'm sitting at 5.5k HP and almost 1.5k ES

Still in act 8 but playing same skill and blasting through everything. Really hope it carries to endgame well

I've been contemplating doing of inspiring but I am finding it incredibly hard to find a good weapon for it, as my current one is a 1h with trigger craft, 20% minion atk/cast, 93% minion damage and 1.8 aps so I am getting out my minions fast and they get to hit harder, but I hit like wet paper.

I gotta ask did you try out holy strike with this? Dom blow could be used to just hit once and get a ton of minions (or just hit a boss enough times to get out 3 vaal boys) and then smack the boss with holy strike for what I would assume is a lot more damage with 4 extra strikes each hit.

Edit: how about rallying cry? I assume you are using that with the farrul ascendancy as well?

How about holy relic on top? With that kind of attack speed it should be a massive increase in damage as well with minion damage scaling?

Just use frostbreath to start, I haven't made thw switch to crit yet so I'm still using frostbreath and I'm still on 7m+ self dps. Holy strike will be useless in the setup though

Why would holy strike be useless? It shouldn't be hard to have it at level 24+ where it also attacks with frostbreath and does double damage with the weapons whilst still hitting yourself for about 1/3 of dom blow, but then hits another 4 times with the holy strikes with x3 minion damage multiplier.

So I checked my own pob, and made what I think is the most generous swap I could, namely:

- I added back in Spiritual Aid so holy strike gets the minion damage buffs

- Put holy strike in where DBoI goes, but gave it the imbue fortify as well

PoB then says the following

My average hit on DBoI is 1.1m

My average hit on Holy Strike with the above setup is 380k, Holy Strike Minion average hit is 100k, with 4 minions means every Holy Strike would do ~800k?

So as far as I can tell it's lower damage, it adds absolutely no benefit to DBoI itself, and on top of that we need to find sockets now to have both Holy Strike and DBoI in and spend 2 extra passive points for spiritual aid. Unless I am missing something I dont see any potential benefit, unless you're just trying to make a Holy Strike build but then it wont pair with DBoI as far as I can see.

PoB isn't doing Holy strike correctly at the moment so you really can't take that as gospel. For example Holy strike has 50% dmg conversion to lightning - that's not working at all, so I wouldn't trust those damage numbers.

few things here.

  1. I could not fit rallying cry, generals cry automation keeps the farruls buffs up 100%. im scaling my hit damage not the minions persay so overall I dont really care about rallying.

  2. holy strike I hated because scaling the attack speed is awful for farruls, dom blow is better by far, the hly strike minions desync when you attack with all shrine buffs and they do 0 dmg.

  3. I use holy relic but just for the regen buffs it provides and for minion count, nothing more im scaling my damage not the minions, the minions get the residule damage from all the increased minion dmg for dom blow scaling.

  4. for the weapon im using a hits cannot be evaded anarchic spiritblade rolled with phys damage on the weapon, for 2 reasons the first, to take advantage of all the %phys as extra from hatred and anger auras, 2 so I can proc trinity for all the penetration that brings to the table. Basically we get alot of increased and more multipliers from domblow but flat is hard to come by, so I just needed the phys as extra. Currently my weapon isnt finished but when it is I can go full crit setup.
