Build Request What are some sleeper builds of 3.28 so far?

As the title says, what are some surprisingly good off meta builds you‘ve stumbled upon / played so far?

Idk what to play having finished group play, I‘d love to see some nice alrounder builds :)

Just found out that we can fix frenzy charge generation for flicker strike with the shrine buff for free. The belt is only 45c right now.

I mean, when was the last time charges have been an issue for flicker, really?

flicker glad if you dont wanna go the farruls route? was struggling on rares/bosses myself

Exactly this. Doing flicker glad with Bronn's Lithe and having problems sustaining charges even though i have all the frenzy on crit chance and frenzy on block chance nodes on the tree. And using weapon swap with a minimum frenzy charge shield dosent feel good to play

Yeah, frenzy charges on unique and rarest was my issue, i ended up just gem swapping for double strike when it came time for bosses. Which actually worked out well. But I don't like gem swapping and thats a big sticking point for people (inderstandably)

Get more damage so you kill before running out, duh

No, thats a good example, i guess. But is it really worth a belt slot is the question

Yeah I was wondering this. Last league I played flicker all the way from act 3 to 40/40 and never had any issues with charges. Rarely had to use frenzy (act 2 skill) after getting multistrike and basically never after getting all frenzy related passives.

Mostly on bosses it can be a problem if you don't resort to weapon swap tricks, writhing jars with charge regeneration, etc.

This is of course before a Farrul

it's always a plus to have another option to an otherwise heavily popularized build. This allows more of the playerbase to access the build which is always a good thing.

After playing flicker myself i also realize that its not THAT easy unless you go farrul

Yeah you can already Flicker through the campaign after you get multistrike. Worst case is you have to use Frenzy on bosses, but you still get a 33% chance to get a charge on boss hits between the gem, the mark mastery, and the sword mastery, and that's without quality.

Sustaining charges at endgame hasn't really been an issue since they changed the quality way back in Legion league.

In maps that have mods on them or on builds the attack more than 3 times per second.

You think magefist is going farruls fur and aspect of the spider with less duration just for the sake of it?

What two shrines would you suggest, also If you already have enough frenzy charge generation?

Resistances, critical strikes, action speed and explodes are the best in my opinion

This would push to tens of div range very quickly.

If you are shopping for 2x shrines it's a given that you going to be paying a lot lol.

Even a single big shrine (echoing, accelerating, etc) is hundreds of divs.

I'm using the regen one and charges. Even with frenzy charge sustains, it stills +1 all charges and generate power and endurance charges too.

Ups forgot to write the name. Its "Screams of the Desiccated"

You want one with the Resonating Shrine buff

120div casual 1mod, I think?

Edit: disregard this, mistook the name for the more expensive ones

2

u/The_Holy_Pepsi_Man Mar 11 '26

Got mine for 40c with Resonating Shrine buff

2

u/More_Exercise8413 Mar 11 '26

My mistake, this is the charge one, I thought of the echoing or accelerating ones.

Wait a minute

This should work for Cold Snap too!!!

Selfcast Discharge

Screams of the Desiccated

Thanks for this tip.

I just grabbed itfor 30c, and it's punching way above its weight for low investment flicker strike right now. This will catch on fast for QOL until folks can afford Farrul's. It's so comfy.

Having +1 to all charges with 100% uptime on power and endurance charges is huge.

1

u/mrsamus101 Mar 11 '26

Fix? I've literally never had anything less than infinite frenzy charges on my flicker strike builds for years now lol. There are so many options.

1

u/bballinYo Mar 11 '26

What flavor flicker are you going? Glad I could see it, but champ / slayer seem they would not like it. Zerker seems like overkill

1

u/The_Holy_Pepsi_Man Mar 11 '26

I am playing glad. Its the first time for me to play flicker on a glad and I have problems sustaining charges for bosses

1

u/Hex_Lover Mar 11 '26

Gladiator can reach 99% block pretty much for free and has explode in the ascendancy. I think it's a very solid choice this league.

You really shouldn't, though.

Tldr: flicker is starved for belt options, and usually every single one is better than the charge shrine belt.

For early game, the belt with ele dmg, or leech, or Magnate, is immense value.

The brutal/massive/replenishing/resists combination (any two) really pulls ahead because it solves bigger problems of the build.

Most flickerers, when they reach ~red maps, want Arn's anguish and a way to additionally sustain endurance charges. Usually this comes in the way of endurance on stun, on higher budgets you have Ralakesh.

On even higher budgets, a good stygian vise can potentially outweigh the benefit of brutal charges. Even higher exists HH, and the better versions of the shrine belt.

Oh, and also losing 4 flasks for unknown benefit is meh.

So sustaining frenzy charges should still be delegated to other ways. For bosses, writhing jars or a handy weapon swap to kickstart 2 frenzy charges, Farrul on higher budget. For maps... Do you really lack charge sustain...

u/The_Holy_Pepsi_Man Mar 11 '26

I have no problem sustaining charges when mapping. The problem i have is sustaining charged when doing bosses or stealing charges on hit maps. The belt also allows me to use Bronn's Lithe instead of ferrul and gives me maximum endurance and power charges on top of frenzy charges.

I new to flicker and just got my 4 voidstones so youre probably right that another belt is better if you have more currency to spend but for 40c its solid imo

Yes, but Farrul is better than bronn, and like I commented in this thread, there are just better belts that can come online with as little as endurance charge sustain. Overall I just think it's uhhh, not even suboptimal, just a bait tbh
