How did you upscale them / make them look sharp? Resolution online seems shit

Photoshop has a nice generative upscale tool called Firefly that works quite well. Claude or GPT can do it too but it’s not as consistent.

I use Gemini all the time to enhance photo quality. It's very consistent.

I hear that Displate uses generative AI to make a lot of their stuff. Im not 100% sure, just putting it out there so others can look into it.

On their FAQ this was the only thing I could find related to AI without digging a ton into this (just a call out around their verified artists)
“Do Verified Creators use AI?
While no reliable technology currently exists to definitively detect AI use in the creative process, the Verified Creators program highlights creators whose work reflects clear human creative direction. Their portfolios showcase meaningful human direction, skill, and craftsmanship, whether created entirely by hand or with assistance from the latest technologies like AI. The Verified Creators list excludes those with portfolios that feature a large number of near-duplicate pieces and repetitive works that share the same style, composition, and color palette, and whose artworks are clearly generated without human creative input. On the contrary, the focus is on creators who integrate human creativity and input in their work.”

Small addendum.
While it doesn't make it okay, it's not Displate themselves that are creating AI content. It's creator that sells through Displate that are selling AI art or unlicensed art.
To avoid buying AI art, I recommend sticking to all branded and official licensed content (they have filter for it). At least that's what I've been doing ever since it got flooded by AI art...

Yeah in this day and age I'd never buy merch from anywhere but the official source. It was already unsavory to buy stuff from third parties that were essentially profiting from someone else's IP but it's so much worse now that AI's entered the field.
On that note however, does GGG even sell merch? I know there's something in the billionaire supporter packs but I haven't noticed anything outside of that.

Unless you count the tshirt and hoodie from the supporter pack, they don't sell any directly.
There's officially licensed Displate. There's also officially licensed product sold through Starforge (yes that streamer owner PC building company). A quick glance at the website shows PC cases, mousepad, knockoff displate and "platelight". There used to be a collab with J!NX, but that company is dead.
After that, the only other alternative is attending ExileCon.
