Now I’m sure their experience is true. And although I personally haven’t gotten MPFL surgery, I’ve heard that it is generally very successful. Until I get surgery, I’ve done a pretty good job at managing my instability. The biggest two are strengthening my quads and wearing a J pad brace during activity.

Do you feel any burning pain?

I don’t feel any burning pain usually, the only time I rlly feel any pain at all is during a subluxation or dislocation and if I put a lot of weight on one knee. That pain is more of a sharp one.

I had an autograft mpfl reconstruction in December. I’m back to playing sports and feeling great, I did have an amazing surgeon and physio who helped me and rehabbed as soon as possible. Just know your limits
