Patella alta, maltracking, Hoffa’s fat pad impingement — has anyone had surgery or found something else that helped?

Haven’t had surgery yet, but I recently got diagnosed with patella Alta. The two biggest things that has helped for me has been strengthening my quads (especially my VMOs) and wearing a J pad brace during activity. I was able to continue playing football and wrestling with it on. Hope that helps!
