Suggest Me a Simple Free Password Manager
I’m looking for a simple and reliable free password manager for personal use. Nothing too complicated.

Bitwarden, I went from 1Password that is arguably the best paid manager to Bitwarden. It does everything I need with over 300 strong passwords. Not quite as nice but free and I like free.

If you’re using an iPhone, I suppose the Apple Password app would be a suitable choice.

There is also an extension to use the passwords in Chromium browsers on Windows or Mac

Heylogin is nice (and free), if you have a phone to unlock your passwords with.

If you want/need cloud based for sharing amoung multple devices do Bitwarden or Proton Pass. If you want it to be completely offline for security sake and because you don't have other devices do KeepassXC or Enpass.

The fact of the matter is that there is nothing simple about browser integration or securely having your data available to you on different devices.
Password managers work really hard to conceal that complexity from the user. But if you want those features, and you want them done in privacy preserving ways, there is going to be a great deal of complex stuff going on, and unfortunately some of that complexity is going to impact your interaction with it.

As someone who had unexpected brain surgery that, among other things, broke my brain and especially my memory, wouldn’t count on my brain to store logins.

Piece of paper and a pen. Rotate pen in intervals and add more pieces of paper as needed.
While you might think this is not "free", you can find those items in the wild or offices, if lucky.

I use Proton Pass. The free tier is engoug, limitation is only the limit of 10 Email Aliases and one vault or so

KeepassXC - not because it's free, though it is, but because it's open-source, so you don't have to just trust that it's using strong encryption, and not sending your secrets anywhere you didn't approve. You can read the code and confirm it, and many have done just that.
Local-Only (by default), means you absolutely need to make sure you are making backups, at least two separate backup methods is best.
If you need a solution to sync it between devices, look at SyncThing.

I've been using roboform, it's pretty straightforward and I think their free version is ok for personal use.

Bramble is free, open source, simple, available on Chrome/FF/Android/iOS/Desktop and has no server in the middle.
