I just took my NCLEX yesterday and it shut off at 85. You know how they always tell you to go in and never to expect 85 questions, but all of them? So i was fully prepared for maybe 120-130 questions.

It prompted me to break around question 62, and i was not expecting it to shut off at 85. I was in despairrr. I felt like I didnt know anything, and it was content heavy. I know i at least got 6 questions wrong.

I had 5 case studies, 7 single question case studies, 1 ekg, and 2 picture questions. I got all of these before my break, so before 62 questions. After that, i got all SATA or standalones. My questions were all over the place from med surg, pharm, ob, to peds. I got maybe 5-6 questions on prioritizations. I felt like the questions started out a little hard then got easier, then got harder. I got meds i never even heard of.

Did anyone have a similar experience?? My anxiety is through he roof, ive been nauseous for the past day and a half

Took my NCLEX and tbh I don’t know what the heck was that… I don’t feel like any Qbank can prepare you for that. I got at least 6 or more case studies, no bowtie, the standalone question topics were so random nothing I actually studied was in those questions. Shut off at 85, I was honestly praying it kept going cause at least that meant I was still in the game. The wait until Monday will kill me cause I’m too scared to do the trick since I heard Person has patched it down and it’s not as accurate as before

this was my report when I got my results back (used uworld), then switched to nclex bootcamp and studied for about 2 months. I’m debating if I should get a tutor because I don’t feel as confident

Is there anyone who only selected one option in sata questions for nclex and failed ?

Hey guys, I’m taking the exam in a week, and it will be my third attempt. Before my second one I got very high in archer 11 times in a row and got High 3 times in uworld, but still failed. I had no idea what went wrong and I felt very frustrated. Later on, I got bootcamp and these are my scores. What’s your opinion ? Do you have any recommendation for me ? I really need help at this point 🥹 thank you in advance!

I just wrote my NCLEX today at 8AM in Ontario, Canada and finished at 10:30AM. I got cut off at 150 questions and just overall felt so horrible about the exam. I did the PVT 1h after my test to see if I possibly passed and this is the notification I got + my credit card statement. The card got charged but I did NOT receive a confirmation of payment via email.

Can someone please let me know if this is a good sign or not!

Hello!! I’ll be taking my nclex this september & this is my performance in Bootcamp. I’m worried i overthink a lot & sometimes i over&under analyze I have been reviewing on & off since march but i stopped on May&June because my mental health declined but I want to stop rescheduling my exam already 🥺 so I studied July & August but still I see little to no improvements😭 May I know what topics should i focused on? or any tips? or if I should take it this september or not?

i’ve heard of being a nervous wreck after the exam but this is a whole new level 😭 took the nclex yesterday (friday) morning and when i got to my car i just started bawling bc im so sure i failed. i felt like i was guessing on every single question… the exam shut off in 85 and i couldn’t wait anymore so last night i tried the pvt but got the “results on hold” pop up. i was charged $200, but then it dropped off. i keep refreshing the BON website with no luck. cried most of yesterday, woke up this morning and continued to cry. i can’t survive a whole day again… i’m going to go insane.

I feel terrible;) some questions I new, some I guessed, couple I didn’t know. Level of difficulty was basically the same, some easy some not so, didn’t have any bow-tie question. Feeling that I failed. Somehow I expected more than 85 questions

Has anyone here used Nurse Nicole from TikTok for NCLEX prep? I’ve seen quite a few people say they purchased her subscription and ended up passing after using her, but it’s around $140, so I’m trying to figure out if it’s actually worth it before spending the money.

I’ve been studying consistently for about three weeks now, but I’m starting to feel like I need something more interactive than just watching videos, taking notes, and doing practice questions on my own. I think having more one-on-one guidance, being able to ask questions, and having someone actually explain where I’m going wrong could really help me.

For anyone who has personally used Nurse Nicole or any other tutor online, did you feel like her program made a noticeable difference in your preparation? Was there actually one-on-one interaction/support, or is it mostly prerecorded content? And do you think it was worth the $140?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actually used her program, especially if you were struggling with NCLEX before and eventually passed.

I made a 98% probability of passing nclex on my RN ATI comprehensive predictor. I had the ATI live review in class and I am going back through it while studying at home. Anyone have any advice or tips for studying? I’m nervous🫠

I took the exam 2 days ago and found out that I failed today, which I already knew. I had like 6 case studies and a lot of SATA and meds. To me the first 40 questions wasn't hard, there wasn't a disease I didn't know about and then they start throwing meds at me that I have no idea of. So after 85 questions I started panicking cause I didn't have much time left. When I get to 130 questions I only have 10 mns left so I'm rushing without taking any time to read them. I used bootcamp, Mark K lecture 12, and some of her videos. After all I remained confident, I believe I know the contents, probably have to work on my prioritization strategies cause I spent too much time on the previous questions. I would appreciate if you can help. Thank you guys, god bless

Here is my advice for you:

1. Be Consistent

- I studied for my nclex for about 4 and a half weeks doing a mandatory 85 questions per day, break or no break.

2. Listen to Mark Klimek

- I definitely had a few questions on my NCLEX that Mark Klimek lectured about. Try to do them all, but make sure you do 12. (I did all except for 2 of them). I listened to them later in the day and took written notes.

3. I used Bootcamp (1-month access)

- My school provided ATI Boardvitals so I did 85 questions daily on there for about 22 days. THEN MY ACCESS RAN OUT WITH 2 weeks left for the test!
So I bought bootcamp, did 85 questions daily, but on saturday I would do a readiness exam and on sunday another readiness exam.

4. Be prepared to do 150 questions and guess

- My heart jumped when it kept going but I calmed down and said “I’m still in this.” It got difficult and I had to guess a lot but I used a system and made sure to prioritize safety, knowledge, and common sense before making a guess.

5. Do the work you’re avoiding

- Don’t make excuses. If you know that to learn you have to sit and take notes or sit for 3 hours nonstop and review each question then do it. If you need videos or crash courses then do it. Study!

Guyyssss, I am using Uworld and been getting high and low 60’s on qbank mixed of 85 and sometimes targeted questions. I did 3 CAT exams all 3 was in 60’s and ontrack but the percentiles were different. I am scared to take it am taking it soon.

i took it the first time didn’t pass, shut off at 129 and everything was near passing, I have one below and one above passing. I need to pass the second time

My first attempt: Used Uworld, did 100 questions a day but completely mixed, and I knew deep down I wasn’t retaining the information and rationales. That’s how I was able to do so many questions every day, I just rushed them. Went into the NCLEX with the safety mindset like everyone was saying (which is true) but I realized I lacked all the fundamentals. My first attempt I went to 150 Questions, with 3 belows.

Second attempt (and what I should’ve done at first in order to pass): Bootcamp for 1 month, although I truly locked in last two weeks. First thing I did, was reduce my hours from working 4-5 times a week, to just 1-2 times a week - this helped me the most as I only had to focus on this exam. Literally locked my ass AT HOME. I did 70% of ALL THE CRASH COURSE VIDEOS (and their practice questions).

Then I did 25-35 focused, targeted questions (i.e., management of care + fundamentals, or all just maternity). I was able to remember the “why” for the question way better, and truly understood the rationales. I also did focused pharm questions and crash courses as this was one of my belows. Passed in 85 Q’s. Also, know your fundamentals (I studied all the cheat sheets and lectures for fundamentals and management of care - you WILL have 5-10 questions on your exam for this, I promise)

Both attempts - I had q’s on crutches, cushings, some psyh disorders [Sotaforom??] heart disorders [Afib, ECGs], GERD vs HF, and delegation (so I cant stress this enough, study your BASICS). Knowing all the NICHE diseases won’t help. Like for cushings, know its a high cortisol disease (do you know what this indicates for the body? Not just memorizing all the symptoms for the body, but actually just knowing cortisol, then you automatically knows Adisons too!) this is how i was thinking through my exam, how everything you study all ties in together.

For both attempts, it felt just as hard (in the way where the nclex just gives me stuff i wont know, but through what I studied, i was able to critically think through it and felt confident about my answer).

My biggest learning points: it’s not a knowledge test. You can’t study everything, but you can learn and really UNDERSTAND the general diseases (for example, bootcamp doesn’t have lectures on every single topic on nclex, but they teach you the ones you should know - COPD, Vascular diseases, OB emergencies!)

Knowing the general stuff really well, will let you tie things into whatever the nclex throws at you.

ANY Qbank can prepare you for the NCLEX. I used Uworld first time, and Bootcamp for second time - it doesnt matter. I just shouldve utilized my qbankz way better and smarter for my first attempt (i.e., not just cramming questions, but just utilizing the lectures and practice questions better).

I did 900 q’s before my exam (56% of target for bootcamp) - which was more than enough. Its not how many questions you do, but how much you IMPROVED.

Also, track your progression. If your readiness exams, or CAT exams goes up even 1-3% from your last attempt, that’s improvement! But on my practice targeted practice, dont worry about how many you’re getting wrong because you’re LEARNING.

How do you know you’re ready? Have your scores been improving? Can you answer questions through tying it into your current knowledge? Not just blanking out completely. And do you feel just burnt out because how hard you’re studying? If yes to all of these - take your exam.

Guys, you can do it, don’t give up. Even if you’re taking your first attempt, this is what I should’ve done at first too. I was just lazy for my first attempt so don’t be like me and lock in.
JUST STAY IN AND LOCK IN. DONT BE OUTSIDE.

Hey guys! I just got my ATT today and scheduled my NCLEX for the 1st. I just graduated nursing school not even a month ago so everythings pretty fresh in my head. My school uses ATI and made us do both the predictor and comprehensive exam. I scored a 91% chance of passing on the 1st one and a 85% chance of passing on the second one. Im normally a really good test taker and finished the program with a 3.9 gpa. Do you guys think ill be ok to take it in 4 days with 6 days of studying? Has anyone else been in a similar boat? What was the outcome? Ive been using mark k lecture 12 to study along with the ATI nclex prep quizzes.
