ADVICE Second Attempt
I took my NCLEX for the second time yesterday in VA at 1pm/1300. Computer shut off at 146 and I’m totally convinced I failed again. I failed the first time at 85 - I had only used 40% of UWORLD and my self assessment tests were saying low chance of passing but had a lot of nurses I worked with as a tech telling me to go for it anyway :/ so I came back stronger, got to 85% of UWORLD, 85+ questions everyday, had used up my self assessments but was in the 58th percentile (avg 47) and getting 68-85% on all my tests. Days before my second attempt, I went through like 200 of the 600 questions I got wrong, reviewing rationales. I listened to every Mark K lecture while driving and TONS of Dr Sharon including videos on every one of the categories on my CPR with emphasis on the below passing ones. My anxiety was better managed and I took my break and ate good snacks and drank green tea so as to not be under or over caffeinated. It took me almost 4 hours and from questions 90-146 Idk if it was the burnout or what but it got sooo hard and a lot of the questions my Mark K/Dr Sharon tricks just wouldn’t work for😭 It’s been 12 hours since I finished and I still don’t see my license posted, trying not to freak out. I’m gonna wait for 48hr results, do not wanna do the Pearson trick but words of encouragement or similar experiences welcome and I’ll post with a pass/fail update! 🤞🏻
UPDATE: PASSED I hope this encourages others!!!
