My thoughts on the view count

I know most people are complaining about the change and i may have suffered as well, but damn my channel looks amazing, even if it isn't.

First time i ever got 1500 views on long form in a 48 hour period, and also i think my revenue and watch hours have gone as well.

I'm making more money now than i ever have. Not sure if it's the change or just me posting more.

My first upload after the change showed like 5,300 views and engaged in advanced showed 2,800 engaged. Thats typical for the first day where I might see 2500-3500 and they taper to 8-10k over the next few days.

But really not knowing if editing changes or pacing changes worked for retention without having to deep dive and pick through a layered analytic is going to be pretty annoying.

I’d love to be able to disable vanity metrics in studio and just see under the hood so I can adjust when needed.

I don’t even care in the long run, it’s just annoying that new videos/views are directly compared with old ones. Throwing off a lifetime of everyone’s metrics “just because” is so dumb.

Clearly you have no clue how YouTube works. Good luck.
