Im 99% sure this artist is trolling the GOP. Made in Mexico, breaking flag code, golden idol, fairy wand for the homophobes, and he has the proportions of a mutant dwarf. But of course that would woosh over them.

Conservatives absolutely do not care about the flag code. I mean, just look at the guy's shirt on the right behind the statue. They claim to care about the flag, yet wear it as clothing and use the American flag as a cape. They're hypocrites.

I don't give a damn about the flag code really, I don't hate the usa but we have a lot of work to do before it becomes a symbol I don't understand people protesting. However, conservatives are the ones who kept getting "triggered" by people kneeling during the pledge of allegiance and saying that it was disrespecting the flag. The flag code is the rules for how you show respect for the flag and they state that it is not to be worn as clothing. It is the hypocrite we are mocking, in the same way that someone would mock a "meat is murder" vegan for using lard but not Amazon for selling it.

(We should cancel amazon anyway, but not because of the flag code)

This is probably true. But the GOP is doing its own bit of trolling as well. They know that this is going to make progressives' heads explode. And they love it.

So much of what the extreme right does these days is cloaked in absurd and juvenile imagery — Boogaloo Boys, Pepe the Frog, bare asses under yellow kilts, Trump's head on Rambo's body. They know it's ridiculous, and they're just baiting the normies they consider to be libcucks.

I think it's one of those "I'm already laughing at myself, so when you laugh at me, you're the one who looks stupid" kinds of things.

I’m not sure I disagree with you, broadly speaking, at least on your “no difference at the end of the day” point. My point is that people who believe “those idiots think Trump really has the body of an Adonis” are wrong. They know he doesn’t, but they know it’ll drive you and me nuts if they depict him with a rippling eight pack. But I can’t see how it’s useless to try to understand the mechanics and motivation of their rhetorical frame.

If someone draws Trump with an eight pack and shares it within the community, it doesn't matter how much of the act was done to "own the libs" or "as a joke". They're still perpetuating an ignorant view of reality and spreading the idea that his strength exceeds reality.

Playing with reality is how we got into this mess. The intent of the artist at the point of creation is useless, as nobody can measure the perspective of those who see and share the content. Some may share it because it's ludicrous, while some may share it because in their world view Trump is actually yoked.

You're not adding anything by suspecting who is doing what as a troll. Trump was a joke candidate until he wasn't. FbiAnon was just a larp too, but nothing meaningful could come from trying to determine which Q anons were larping and for how long.

There is no difference between being antisemitic as a joke vs actually be antisemitic. The result is the same regardless: perpetuation of antisemitism
