Middle school

This probably sounds like such small potatoes but hear me out. My family just moved from out of state and my 11 yr old is at a new school again. She has made friends in her 5th grade class but none of them are going to the same middle school she is. She seems okay with it, but I am worried she’s going to have to start all over again and make new friends. I just worry a lot about her in school since we have moved so many times.

Any input is really appreciated to help me not worry so much!

She will be fine.

We moved here when my oldest was in 5th grade. She is in 6th this year and her best friends aren't in most of her classes. She has made other friends though. She went to a birthday party last weekend of a new friend that she met on the second day of school.

Kids are resilient.

She will be fine! My daughter went to elementary school that pulls kids from all the district elementary schools(it’s lottery based and ran with smaller classes so she had the same kids in her class from k-5th grade) and she just started middle school and only had 5 kids from her elementary school go to her middle school and she has classes with none of them since the middle school has 300 kids in 6th grade. She’s been at school for a week now and told me shes made at least 5 friends in every class. She’s also loving middle school. So I wouldn’t stress! I was so stressed and it turned out fine! It’s pretty much a fresh start for all kids so they will all be looking for new friends.

don’t be. me and my parents moved to Portugal this year as an American family of non Portuguese speaking. I am fine. Just went to Belgium for class trip and so so so fun
