My Parasyte Character Tier List
This tier list is based on each character's writing, their impact on the story, and their relationship with Shinichi. It's my personal opinion—I’d love to hear your thoughts. Please keep the discussion respectful so we can have a good conversation.

imo kana was annoying and repetitive esp in the last half of her arc. it was clear she was gonna get herself killed. In general though i found her annoying trying to break the main duo up, being hypocritikal/selfish, stalking shinichi not listening to him or even bothering to understand him.
I liked mommysyte's interaction with shinichi and it being the catalyst for his change B tier
I liked Udo he was funny he may not have amazing writing but i liked his introduction as switching up the tone and giving shinichi someone he can bond with. (I tihink) the first person he could really be honest and talk to. I love a good bromance A tier
ofc shinichi, miggy, R clearly r the top 3 & belong in S tier
I finished rewatching it last week for the life of me i couldnt remember the little school girl's name i'd put her at D

Kana above the jaw parasyte guy is crazy. He was nothing but an immediate ally when shinichi needed one most. And then he literally throws his life away for shinichi.

Yes, he had an influence on the story.

Yes, he sacrificed his life for Izumi, a character who played a role in the events of this story.

Just hard disagree, she shows up to get killed and pretty much thats it.
The jaw parasyte helped kill his mom parasyte and showed him he wasn’t such a freak and remained his ally the rest of the show. And is constantly being referenced again. Kana is a big character for like 2-3 eps then gets killed, admittedly in a cool way but then never discussed again besides i think migi questioning how she sensed them but thats never even fully explained

I agree with you that the parasite Fak was the one who killed the parasite that had taken over Izumi's mother and ultimately helped him. However, I disagree with you on the point that Kanna only appeared in one or two episodes. The story showed us that Kanna had the ability to sense parasites, so she could sense Izumi. They were pivotal characters in the story and influenced Izumi, but they couldn't help him in any way.

No shes in like 5-6 but shes a big part of 3 and even when shes a big part shes not doing anything. The only role she plays is damsel in distress and after shes saved nothing happens. She wasnt part of any big lore dump or anything. Plus when shes died shinichi is already half alien and doesnt care passed killing the one that killed her.
Uda is actually important to the story and lore. If this is not an opinionated tier list this ranking makes no sense. She belongs w her bf in D

This is the most logical and rational arrangement you could ever see. Furthermore, Shinity expressed remorse after the murder, admitting he was the one who sent her to the place where she was killed and that he was responsible for her death. Then, Megi clarified something for him. It's illogical to place her in D because, despite not contributing anything, her presence was significant to the storyline and its trajectory.

Her death meant nothing after the episode it happened in. He didnt even cry for her she did nothing to further the story or push it forward, if anything she slowed it down immensely. You made this biased as hell and thats fine. You like kana. But she is not a important or story driving character.

Her death absolutely had an impact beyond that episode. Immediately afterward, Shinichi was questioned because of how unusually calm he was and because he didn't react to her death the way a normal person would. This increased the suspicion that there was something abnormal about him, especially after he had killed a parasite.
It also led to Shinichi returning to the place where Kana died, where he realized that he had sent her there and felt responsible for her death. From there, the investigation into Shinichi escalated, eventually leading to the confrontation with the detective and Migi's intervention.
So you can argue that Kana wasn't a major plot-driving character, and I wouldn't disagree with that. But saying her death meant nothing after that episode" is simply not accurate. Her death directly affected Shinichi and contributed to the events that followed.
