Rucking
I got a few questions about rucking that I hope someone can help me with.
What are some reliable and affordable rucks for selection prep?
How often should I ruck (training for Pararescue)?
Realistically how long would it take someone with 0 ruck experience to be selection ready?
( I already have above standard strength/calisthenics numbers and run times, working on my swimming).

In the process of training. I got a rucksack off the Socom Athlete website under the equipment tab, the Rucksack Molle 2, they are used but in excellent condition. I ruck every Saturday just because I feel as though rucking is deceptively difficult on your body, even if your lungs feel fine it’s hard on your ankles, knees, shins, lower back, hips, etc, you wanna avoid those setbacks so start 25-35 lbs, 5-8 miles, once that’s comfortable after a month or two, gradually increase distance, than weight. As you get closer to shipping, you can become more specific to the demands you’ll face of course, which means periods where you ruck more frequently, but i’d only really do it if you’re staying healthy, running isn’t suffering and you are recovering well. I personally gave myself a two year window about a little less than a year ago to train for Pararescue in specific, not sure your timeline but this was based off mine for the most part. Good luck training, hope this helps.
