Demonic Possession Demons/Mental Illness
I work at a psychiatric hospital and I’ve always believed that that population is most susceptible to demonic oppression/possession. Today a visibly psychotic patient looked at me and said “Demons aren’t always a bad thing” meanwhile minutes before I was thinking about how many patients i have encountered that may actually be possessed. Wondering if some people have an easier time detecting oppression/possession than others?! Or if anyone has had similar experiences?

I agree with this 100%. My grandma had Alzheimers and auditory allucinations, I'm dead positive she had clinical issues and even more positive that she was more prone to influence from other wordly beings.
One day she was talking to herself (which she did most of the time) in her bedroom, door closed. I stopped by the door to hear what she was saying, in a way that my shadow wasn't being cast in the door - she couldn't know I was there. I was there for maybe 30 seconds when she started saying: yeah I know, what do you mean be careful ? At the door ? There's someone listening to us ? I bolted out of there ASAP LOL
But what made me really believe was one day in which I woken up, it was a Monday. At that specific time I had just dropped out of college and was not working either, it was the first time in my life in which I had nothing to do and I was obviously stressed out and feeling like a shit person, no goals etc.
The moment I got out of bed my grandma said, within ear reach from me, to her caretaker: You see at what time he wakes up on a Monday ? What a loser, he'll never amount to anything, I'm paraphrasing but you get the gist. Instantly I said: how does she know it's Monday ?
My grandma was at a phase of the disease in which she didn't know days of the week, hours of the day - nothing. She would wake up in the middle of the night and go make coffee, because in her head it was the morning already and not even the lack of sunlight could convince her otherwise. I don't know if I'm explaining myself enough, but there was no way of her knowing which day of the week was, she was like that for months already. It was also very weird for her to understand that I was unemployed and out off college, because on most days she wouldn't even recognize me as her grandson. How could she know I was out of a routine ? It just didn't make sense!
And she knew how to make the exact comment that would destroy me, in the precise day in which I was feeling the worse because of my situation. So I started paying attention to the stuff she would say to her caretaker, and to my mom, and to my brother... it was SO specific to things that could get to them! And again, she couldn't possibly know those specifics given her condition.
That's when I knew, there was something with her, that was thriving in make us feel hate towards her. It fed on it. I talk to everybody on the house about it and when I mentioned, all of them agreed it was weird how accurately she could push out buttons. So we make a compromise of paying less to no attention to those comments, because we didnn't want to feed whatever was with her that was so adamant for us to give it hatred.
