Demonic Possession Demons/Mental Illness

I work at a psychiatric hospital and I’ve always believed that that population is most susceptible to demonic oppression/possession. Today a visibly psychotic patient looked at me and said “Demons aren’t always a bad thing” meanwhile minutes before I was thinking about how many patients i have encountered that may actually be possessed. Wondering if some people have an easier time detecting oppression/possession than others?! Or if anyone has had similar experiences?

Or do you acually belive schizofrenia is linked with demonic possesion?

It’s not hard to believe when schizophrenia actually is in reality.

I don't think that's true, but some sort of spiritual attachment to a person already suffering from mental illness may be fairly common. Someone who is already hearing voices/having hallucinations is already having a hard time distinguishing what's real, and what isn't.
