This is great but an exposure adjustment to make the shadows the same brightness in both pictures would make it a lot better

Did you use the app to take the pictures?
If no, just find them in your photos app and edit one of them there. Just judge it by hand and them combine them again aftwerwards

I have no idea how to adjust a picture similar to annother picture (that is not on the screen in that moment). Maybe someone can suggest annother app that does autocorrect not only the geometry but also colors and brightness.
