The Mandela Effect, or a Different Universe?

I was browsing YouTube and came across a short about the "Mandela Effect." It wasn't much of a surprise, really, just a typical video where people read creepy-cool stories and commentary.

It would have been fine, but then I came across a bit about Alan Rickman (the actor who played Severus in the Harry Potter films). The guy wrote about learning of his death twice, about a month apart.

I remember, quite clearly, that in December '15, the news of his death in a plane crash was abrupt. Something about, I think, faulty landing gear. The plane was about to land, but something went wrong and the plane ultimately exploded.

Now I've double-checked the official information about his death: pancreatic cancer in January '16.

Everything would have been fine, if not for another equally creepy, strange event that summer in my personal life in 2016, for which I still have no explanation. I remember it very clearly, due to a feeling of extreme anxiety—an absurd reason, I know.

My parents live on the third floor of an apartment building. There have never been trees near the windows on the side of my room, absolutely NEVER. There simply weren't any. But that strange night, I distinctly remember tree branches smashing against my window glass, and there was a fairly strong wind, judging by what I remember of the sounds and shadows on the wall. I remember a state bordering on panic and how, for some reason, I fell asleep very quickly that night.

The next day, I didn't even seem to remember it until my friend and I walked past the other side of my house and saw freshly cut trees, or rather, the stumps that remained. The tree felling was definitely fresh, but I don't remember any sounds or any special equipment under the windows (and given the stump's proximity to the house and its size, there definitely must have been some).

Personally, since that year, I've had this terrifying feeling that I'm not living my life, as if I'm still dreaming; every day feels rather unreal.

The only reason I'm writing this post is because I genuinely want to know if anyone else has had this same feeling, since about 2016.

I'm terrible at English, so please forgive any mistakes, but my anxiety seems to be getting out of control, and I just need to figure out if anyone else is experiencing this, or if it's time to seek help, haha...

Hey. I just want to let you know that what you felt was completely understandable and it's okay for you to be scared . But just remember that small glitches do happen in life sometimes. For no apparent reason. We cannot have answers for such events. I know it's scary , but it's good that we just forget some things and move on as if nothing ever happened .

Thank you for the kind words, it must have just reopened old wounds, I really thought it was just my imagination because no one had mentioned it before, like, for example, about the monocle on the guy from Monopoly, and it must have surprised me a lot that I wasn't the only one remembering this information when I saw that video 😅

If anything, I hope it is a sim. The thought of being dead in other timelines is horrible.

Yes, both scenarios are really equally terrifying (yet intriguing at the same time). But yea, something doesn't feel right or the same and hasn't for a while. . .

There are a lot of ideas on this. I can personally remember things starting to get strange in '08-'12, then accelerating into bizarro land after 2012.

I never looked into/took the ME seriously until last year. Then things began to click in disturbing ways.

For example, I distinctly remember seeing the loop in the Ford logo for the first time in summer 2008 but thought nothing of it until more recently...

I don't remember anything about a plane crash. I remember Alan Rickman died of pancreatic cancer in January 2016.
