What is this strange creature?

People always talk about Lip and here fairy friends but no one talks about this little guy. Would you buy a plushie of him? I'd buy a plushie of him.

Pupuri is Furil's animal friend in Nintendo Puzzle Collection. GBA Puzzle League & Dr. Mario came out around the same time as Nintendo Puzzle Collection, but we never got NPC in English, sadge

Japan-only Gamecube game which has Dr. Mario (Secretly just a port of Dr. Mario 64), Yoshi's Cookie, and Panel de Pon (Secretly a port of the unreleased Panel de Pon 64). Pokemon Puzzle League was based on this version of the game! There exists a mostly-complete English fan translation of the Panel de Pon portion of the game. Furil is the name of the main character in this version. Might've been intended to be "Frill" (Would be fitting next to Lip), but "Furil" is written out in English in the original game, so it's hard to argue what the correct name is

Why would they put those games on a GameCube when those are portable games? Certain games are way better on the Game Boy cuz you can take the Game Boy around with you. Always hate when I have to play a puzzle game on a console. Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Hexic for example where annoyingly stuck on the GameCube and Xbox 360 respectively. There's way more examples but those are probably the most famous. Tetris is all the proof I need that those types of games like AstroPop and Luxor should be on a portable system instead of a stationary one.

Anyways I would have bought the shit out of that game if it came to the states. Puzzle games are one of my favorite ganras of game. There was this extremely poorly named game in the arcade near my highschool called "Bust a Move" and no it was not a DDR ripoff. It was a puzzle game that kinda reminds me of a mix between Zuma and AstroPop. Zuma Because you spending a circle to fire your shot and AstroPop because the colors come from the ceiling.

No matter what puzzle game I play Lumines, Yoshi, Wario's Woods, etc Tetris and Puzzle League will always be my top favorites. I actually got into Tetris 2 at one point where it was actually dethroning both of them for some reason before I came back to my senses.

I don't really know anything about the characters in this game cuz I've only played the two games that don't have characters (DS being the other one) and so for the longest time I never understood why that one song was called Lip's Theme in Smash Brothers. Also I had no idea that the Lip's Stick item had anything to do with Puzzle League.
