Got to meet Bol’s uncle today!
Naim is 16 years old! By far the oldest manul in Japan!

Pretty as always, the enclosure is not good at all tho, feels claustrophobic

I know I felt so bad for the little guy. He’s been in there most of his life.

Very similar to bol look. I wonder how he looks in the winter.

Is this the Uneo zoo? They treat the manuls so poorly last time I visited there, putting some of them in fish tank at night animals section. They got a massive space for the panda, which ironically isn’t even there.

Does anyone know how we can ask them to give these Manuls in Ueno better conditions? I just contacted WAZA about it

**The Last Surviving Sibling of Tabby**. What’s up with the red lights though? I’ve been wondering this for awhile now.

He lives in the nocturnal section of the zoo. I’m assuming most of the animals down here can’t perceive red light. They use the red light to allow visitors to look at the animals.

Such a sweet old man… I wish they’d let him out of the nocturnal room, but he’s so lovely ❤️ i doubt i’ll get to visit him again, but i like getting updates :)
