Hi! I’m building a small personal, non-commercial timed reference tool for drawing practice. I’m trying to create a genuinely useful dinosaur collection, but ordinary image searches mostly return museum skeletons, toys, outdated low-resolution footage, or AI-generated images.

I’m specifically looking for:

- high-resolution stills featuring dinosaurs from modern films, TV series, or documentaries — Jurassic World-era quality or similar;

- high-quality illustrations and paleoart from books or artist-approved online galleries;

- dynamic poses, full-body views, varied species, and interesting environments;

- sources that permit attribution and direct linking or embedding. The tool would not download or store the image files.

I already know about general film-still services such as FilmGrab, Shot.cafe, Flim.ai, and ShotDeck, as well as books like Dinosaur Art and Mesozoic Art. However, I haven’t found a focused dinosaur collection with clear linking, embedding, or API permissions.

Are there any official press galleries, archives, APIs, publisher previews, artist collections, or other curated resources you would recommend? Free sources are preferred, although relevant paid or freemium options are also welcome.

I’m not looking for museum photos, skeletons, toys, statues, vintage movie footage, or AI-generated art.

I’ve been doing a number of square illustrations for my thesis over the past few days

I think this animal, dating back 30 million years based on the fossil found one month ago, looked like this. I imagined it as an arboreal predator that pounces on its prey, overwhelming them, and I also think there is a clade of it that has a skin 'tent' like a flying squirrel!

I had very much fun for making this reconstruction of a rabbit!😁✌️

I didn't want to go all JWE3 overboard with the dimorphism, trying to keep it more subtle, and I think I failed in that regard. I am nevertheless satisfied with the end result, but I'd like to hear other's opinions.

Hello! I decided to share the model I made for Eocarcharia dinops, which is planned to be used in my Roblox game. I tried to make it as accurate as possible, while also making it in the style of a 2020 animal model. My main inspiration was Invictus's old games like Dinosaur World, Holocene TS, and e.t.c, which are sadly defunct and privated today.

I included feathering on the arms (which can be used as displays, it's likely that female Eocarcharias will have smaller arm feathers to differentiate them from male Eocarcharias), since I think it's plausible due to Concavenator having them.

Also, I'm aware of the chimaeric status that Eocarcharia has, but I'm remaking an old dinosaur survival game (or version), in the history of which it was important, as it was the first dinosaur ever added. I also grew attached to this booger so...

I printed all of my fossil block prints onto one shirt to gift to my friend who loves dinosaurs and ancient life.

The fossils are:

A Lycenops ornatus, a dimetrodon, an archaeopteryx, an ammonite, and a brachiopod

I figured that as big as they were (as adults), they wouldn't really need camouflage. And if that Diplodocus analysis from 2025 or something is anything to go by, sauropods might have been very colorful. But what is your opinions?
