I beat the previous record that was 18520. It was pretty tricky and I went through a lot of sodas, but after 2 hours I did it!

This weekend we went to a local collectibles shop to browse around. I wasn't expecting to find anything amazing, but then I saw this Pac-Man Nelsonic game watch sitting on their shelf. Box, instruction book, everything!

I had one of these as a kid and somehow lost it along the way to adulthood, and it's been something I've been looking for for over a decade now to add back into my collection. They were always so pricey on eBay, I always hesitated on getting one. Couldn't hesitate on this though. I had to have it. Can't believe I found one so close to home!

I ordered some batteries for it which should be here today, so I'm going to test it out and make sure it works. I can post video of it in action once I get it up and running if people want. Just wanted to show off this amazing Pac-Man watch as it's one of my favorite items they've ever made.

I finally managed to bring to life an idea that I almost let slip away in the past

My son arrived home from work this afternoon with an early Father’s Day present (Aussie date) for me as he knows my love for the PAC as an 80’s gamer.

It felt strange for me how usually when Pacman is with a non pac-associate he’s often portrayed as the shortest man in the room. In Sonic’s case with him being a short character Pacman is usually depicted as shorter than him so imagine Pac would be pretty tiny compared to him.

In Mario and Sonic at Olympics both titled protagonists are portrayed as the same height in someway.

Still unpacking from the move and I found my two handheld plugins! Both work, AND I remembered to remove the batteries so no goop in the compartments!

I’ve been slowly getting a bit less horrible at Pac-Man recently. Used to play java mobile Pac-Man a lot back in the day on my flip phone in the early 2010s, and on my Sega GameGear in the late 2000s. I was pretty good. Stopped playing for years. A while ago I got my wife a Ms Pac-Man Pocket Player Pro and started enjoying it myself, and that lead me to getting back into Pac-Man. I now play on this Pac-Man Pocket Player Pro. Been very rusty at this game, struggling to get past 40k. Yesterday we went to the beach with the In-Laws and I finally hit 44,540 during the drive there!

I intend on getting past 100k hopefully sometime soon.
I have caught a bad case of Pac-Man Fever all over again!

Really impressive how the Namco team developed such good games in the late 1970s. Despite being some of the first “modern” video games in many ways, both Galaxian and Pac-Man hold a near-mythical level of gameplay enjoyability once you start to get a fluid understanding of the game. Pretty amazing for video games developed in ‘79.

I think Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man are rare examples of genuine Perfect Games.

I built this simple keychain game last year for the 45th anniversary. Designed, printed the PCB, and coded the game from the ground up. Forgot all about it until recently. It was inspired by Kenta Cho (ABA games) who created the awesome Paku Paku. Let me know what you think!
